Job Description

Job Title: Technical Staff, Site Reliability EngineerThe Technical Staff, Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for providing the primary management, administration, support, and ongoing maintenance of customer Infrastructure Platforms within a 24x7x365 environment and data center environment. This role must be able to understand, execute, and document moderate to complex operational tasks and work requests that are assigned and have experience in moderate to complex research and fact-finding using various tools and informational sources.The role will be expected to work positively and collaboratively with fellow team members, senior engineering/architect staff, vendors, and customers. The candidate would be required to solve complex business problems working with various groups and look for automating/ improving the solution to ensure that problem never repeats, or manual intervention is not required in the future if the problem repeats. This role will also include the core fundamentals of day-to-day operations, based on the ITIL v3 methodology.As a Technical Staff at Dell Technologies Managed Services, you will help define, implement, manage, and deliver technical solutions (CI/CD, Automation, Monitoring tools). You are a builder of large-scale distributed system services. You will be developing technology strategies and solutions for VMware Tanzu PaaS, NSX-T, and IaaS services. You will help in building & managing a high-performing team that can work directly with a global team in delivering scalable local services in line with the global designKey Responsibilities:

  • Participate in 24x7x365 shift coverage
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs and verifying completion of scheduled jobs
  • Provide support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues
  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies
  • Perform preventative maintenance (and upgrade, as required) on devices, and related peripherals to meet IT specifications
  • Identify system performance issues and drive the development of tools to correct
  • Ensure that the technical environment is properly monitored and that any problems are rectified
  • Coordinate all hardware and software problems or repairs channeled through outside vendors and service providers
  • Perform systems/software administration, backup/recovery monitoring, problem resolution, and change management
  • Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required
Essential Requirements:
  • Bachelor s/ Master s degree with 15 18 years relevant experience
  • Hands-on experience and expertise in designing, implementing, and managing IaaS and PaaS
  • Hands-on experience in working as an SRE, in cloud engineering
  • Strong fundamentals across the tech stack
  • Strong knowledge of Software-Defined Networking
  • Hands-on with coding/ scripting in Python/ Java/ Go/ C++
  • Hands-on with tools like Git, Ansible, Kubernetes, Prometheus, etc.
  • Excellent Communication, Problem Solving & Attitude
.Desirable Requirements:
  • Engineering Degree in Computer Science
  • Master s in Business Administration (optional)
  • Candidates with education from Top Grad/ Post Grad Schools
  • CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CKA, NSX T/V Certification, PCF Operator
  • Expertise in various CI/CD, Automation, Monitoring tools
