Job Description

TPF ProfessionalJob DescriptionDXC Technology India is seeking great talented Professionals to work for one/many of these

  • TPF Assembler, Sabretalk, TPFDF, TPF C/C++ Application Development, Maintenance and Support
  • Exposure to IBM TPF Toolkit, CVS, PB03TSO, Sabreview, Art, zTPFGI, dump reading and analysis
  • Ability to work independently with the customer
  • Ability to mentor less experienced people in the team
  • Good exposure to IT Service Management process, which includes Incident, Problem, Change, Release & Deployment. Flexible to work in different shifts or 24*7 support on call out of office hours / weekend including night shift on rotation.
  • SDLC process - Requirement gathering, analysis, design, estimation, Understanding of low-level design, development, preparation of unit test plan, unit test cases, unit testing, defect analysis, migration activities, test support, implementation, and post-Production support. Knowledge in Agile or Waterfall methodology.
  • Good verbal & written communication skills.
Nice to have-
  • Application modernization experience in moving from Legacy ZTPF technologies to modern technology.
  • Mainframe Modernization skills with Java, Azure
Roles and ResponsibilitiesAs a TPF Application developer/Support Analyst, he/she will take on a combination of the following responsibilities:
  • Able to do requirements analysis, understand the business flows to translate them into Technical Requirements.
  • Able to code, edit, and debug programs, unit/integration test, deploy using TPF Assembler, Sabretalk, TPF C/C++, TPFDF for the assigned bugs/enhancements.
  • Able to troubleshoot and identify bugs in existing programs, design and release bug fixes.
  • Can design and develop new programs, analyse current programs and processes.
  • Collaborate with project team in understanding customer needs.
  • Follow the best practices in software development and maintenance such as standards, documenting code and other practices necessary.
  • Ability to work independently with customer.
  • Able to deliver the assigned work with quality within agreed timeliness.
  • Should be able to support in shifts and support the applications in the off-business hours & weekends.
Desired Candidate ProfileTechnical: 3+ years of experience in TPF Assembler, Sabretalk, TPF-DF, TPF-C/C++, ALCS (Airline Control System) and/or GDS
  • Good working knowledge of zTPF-GI or IBM Tool kit tools (Trace Log, Code Coverage, Performance Analyzer), CVS, PB03TSO, Sabreview, Art, dump reading and analysis
  • Good functional knowledge of Airline Passenger Service Systems (PSS) and or Flight operation system(FOS)
  • Functional: Exposure to Airlines domain of either Check-in, DCS/ACI, Reservations, Ticketing, FOS is highly preferred.
  • Should take ownership of the assigned assignments/tasks.
  • Ability to deliver under tough project timelines when in need.
  • Able to understand Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Possess strong logical/analytical skills to address job related problems.
  • Quality Mindset, Self-motivated, Team Player and result oriented.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to simultaneously interface with other teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Work with a team to provide written responses to technical proposals and /or reports/documentation for delivery.
  • Experience in identifying and delivering technical solutions to customer business problems.
  • Excellent English both verbal and written communication skills and capable of independently communicating with customers.
  • Should be flexible to work in shifts (24/7) if needed
  • Exposure to IT Service Management
  • Good to have an experience working in Agile or Waterfall software development process
