Job Description

*The Corporate Services Site Manager for Bangalore will be the representative for Corporate Services India and will interact with local internal clients, joint venture partners, outside vendors, global Corporate Services members, and Asia Pacific Firm employees. Corporate Services strategic plan is to anticipate and then provide for the space needs and supporting services for business units in what is currently an aggressive, growth economy. Overall responsibilities are as follows:

  1. Provide leadership, strategic direction, and prioritize initiatives focused on client services, value delivery, system reliability, efficiency / cost control, training, budget / project planning, and resource management to the local site team.
  2. Manage a team of directly employed staff and vendors, including specialist consultants as necessary, and oversee directly employed staff training and development. Encourage key managers to realize their full potential and eliminate any key man dependency issues through succession planning.
  3. Hold responsibility for managing, supporting, and communicating critical incidents across the site.
  4. Track and report vendor compliance with Morgan Stanley standards and requirements.
  5. Support the Head of Corporate Services India for the development and management of the India Corporate Services Management budget process and expenditures.
  6. Work closely with the Heads of the various functions across the region - Property Management, Corporate Information Management, Real Estate and Location Strategy, Portfolio and Transaction Management, Corporate Security and Travel.
  7. Foster a positive team environment encompassing all job categories and functions within the Firm.
  8. On-going recruitment and development of the department members with an emphasis on team work.
  9. Work with the regional real estate team to develop strategies and support the execution of transactions in the local market.
  10. Ensure operating procedures and standards are followed by outsourced service providers.
  11. Manage a strong working relationship between local customer needs and the regional / global team members.
  12. Play a leadership role in the India business continuity planning (BCP) and Crisis Management Team (CMT).
  13. Ensure a formal client services program is followed and evolves with the Firm s business model.
  14. Authorize the procurement and invoicing of supplies / services, monitor metric reporting, and enhance where required.
  15. Maintain current knowledge of the commercial market place and methods adopted by peer groups / other industries to ensure that best practices are continually developed, shared, and utilized across the regional Corporate Services division.
  16. Develop relationships with in-house governance functions including Legal, Compliance, Finance, Human Resources, and Operations to ensure policies are followed.
  17. Work closely with IT to ensure seamless services for internal clients. Promote Corporate Services, generate effective communications, good relations and a positive image with clients, suppliers, and co-workers while promoting courtesy, diversity and fairness.
, *Prospects for this position will have demonstrated the ability to manage and interact with staff at all levels in the Firm. Accordingly, the individual must be an accomplished businessperson and a proven leader capable of building a cohesive team and constructing persuasive proposals for improvements across diverse functional teams. The successful candidate will have 12 or more years of pertinent business experience with a proven track record of consistently exceeding performance goals and managing operations in a demanding business environment. The ideal candidate would have operational experience for a multi-national firm with knowledge of the financial industry.
  • Qualified to degree standard or higher in financial, engineering or related discipline with minimum 12 years work experience in a multi-national corporation.
  • Previous experience in an Investment Banking/Financial Services advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and client service skills in order to lead and influence a diverse group of people (cross-cultural).
  • IT literate: intermediate to advanced software skills including MS Office package, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Word, MS Project and Microsoft Outlook Calendar.
  • Strategic thinker, analytical, problem solver, decision maker, team player, self-motivated, innovative, organized, optimistic, energetic, and detail oriented.
  • A self-starter who inspires the trust and confidence of senior managers by working comfortably with local and regional teams.
  • Strong understanding of vendor management process.
  • Successful candidate must possess strong analytical, writing and critical thinking skills with the ability to review business cases/financial reports and summarize data in a clear, concise manner.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
  • High degree of business acumen.
