Job Description

    * Senior Engineer / Lead Engineer for Functions - Multipurpose camera Mercedes-Benz Research and Development, India is seeking Senior Engineers / Lead Engineers with a strong technical background in the areas of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. Mercedes Benz Multipurpose camera (MPC): A driver assistance system used for collision warning & mitigation, lane recognition, traffic sign recognition, object recognition for avoiding or mitigating crash. Key Job Responsibilities:
    • Function responsible for one or more of MPC Modules
    • Define and manage Product Component / Functional requirements
    • Work with the system supplier to fulfill Functional requirements
    • Conduct system and vehicle tests for functional validation of system
    • Participate in review of Product Component Architecture / Design
    • Analysis of Defects and propose solutions
    • Optimize State Machine
    • Define Fail safe mechanisms
    • Test functionality on HiL or Vehicle
    Basic Qualification:
    • Bachelors degree in Electronics and Communication/Electrical and Electronics/Computer Science
    • 3-6 years of experience in Automotive domain
    Key Skills and Experience :
    • Automotive System Engineering and Development experience
    • Experience as System Software or Hardware Engineer responsible for functions
    • Exposure in one of the following areas - Park Assistant systems , Ultrasonic sensors, Camera / Radar / LiDAR Based assistance systems
    • Knowhow in Camera/ Radar / Object Detection - Preferred
    • Usage of DOORS
    • Vehicle/HiL integration tests for functional validation
    • Requirements Elicitation and Management activities
    • CAN and FLEXRAY protocol knowledge
    • Electrical Systems Knowhow and debugging skills
    • Knowledge of Diagnostic protocols : UDS , KWP
    • Usage of Vector CAN tools - CANOE
    Preferred Skills :
    • Exposure to ADAS systems Preferred
    • Usage of ADAS tools for test data / video analysis
    • Exposure to ISO26262 Functional Safety standards & ASPICE
    • Good communication skills and ability to work in & contribute as a good team player
    • Experience in the automotive field and exposure of multi-cultural environment is an added advantage
    • Basic knowledge in German language preferred
    • Vehicle driving Skills - Mandatory
