EDI Specialist

Job Description

*Job Objectives:The main responsibility of this position is to support, implement, enhance and improve our EDI processes inside the Autosol IT Platform organization. We are looking for an individual with strong technical knowledge in the EDI field and the ability to translate that to operational improvements in a vendor managed environment, ideally with ITIL knowledge and business knowledge within logistics operations.Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible to manage & support our Babelway & WinEDI EDI platform as well as some legacy EDI technologies we use. Your natural overview enables you to manage the many processes in this challenging global and complex environment. Your communication and people skills as well as your Can Do attitude will contribute to the positive atmosphere in the team
• Development and Maintenance of operational EDI interfaces
• Provide consultancy as a subject matter expert to internal stakeholders and other application management teams.
• Work closely with our Business Data & Intelligence team to ensure proper identification of requirements, implementation and rollout of the interfaces.
• Support global EDI trading partners connecting them to our managed service platform, through X.400, AS2, VAN, FTP, SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, SOAP, EDIFACT etc.
• Work closely with the vendors to ensure proper delivery of planned enhancements within delivery dates and with the agreed levels of quality.
• Giving guidance to our Corporate Oracle Fusion Middleware team for IntraCompany order routing.
• Establish and follow an appropriate stage-gate style process for new projects. Track and maintain appropriate project and routine activity metrics.
• Establish and maintain a high level of accuracy during routine and project activities.
• Other activities as required to achieve defined job objectives.
• Individuals needs to be flexible in working on different shift as and when needed.

, *Skill Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
• At least 4 to 8 years of hands on working experience with modern EDI (cloud based) technology/ platforms. A willingness to learn is critical
• Hands on experience with Microsoft SQL server is a must
• Practical experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware is a big advantage.
• Experience within the EDI area and trading hubs is an advantages as well
• Ability to define customer requirements and translate them into working EDI interfaces.
• Ability to analyze, critical reasoning, problems solving skills and a focus on details of the operation.
• Additional knowledge of APIs and web services will be a plus
• Knowledge on Integration technologies like MuleSoft are also a plus.
• Good understanding of IT operational processes and structured in ways of working.
• Understanding business processes in a manufacturing organization using global cross functional resources is a benefit, as this is how we operate.
• Understanding and knowledge of computer systems and programming methods is a benefit, especially on the following languages/applications : Windows 7, MS Office, SQL Server 2005/2008, XML
• Having knowledge of Oracle & Microsoft SQL is a strong benefit.
• Strong interpersonal and project management skills, ability to work with and direct others in a team environment. English fluency in both verbal and writing is a requirement.
• Good organizational and troubleshooting skills. Good time-management and self starter skills are also desirable, if you don t have a proactive attitude, pls do not respond to this job posting.
