Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:This position will be responsible for Configurator solutions provisioning (support & development) for various business divisions.The Configurator solution provisioning would ensure the solution cascaded in configured items, Bill of Materials, configuration rules, user interfaces, data migration to be accurate and reflect the requirements from the Engineering, Operations, Sales, Product Marketing, Procurement, pricing for assigned products of various BUs. This role will be part of the IT Team which will implement and support various CTO solutions in Automation Solutions group by developing new applications and maintaining existing web applications, including monitoring, bug fixes and change requests approved by product owners ensuring the updates follow standard quality process and keep applications stable; suggesting solutions to eliminate repetitive application issues and improve application availability.The candidates must possess the following abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with gathering user requirements and understanding and interpreting requirements specifications
  • Experience with full Systems Development Life Cycle
  • Must be a team player with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Develop strong relationship with product owners and other stake holders.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ensuring change/feature enhancement requirements are implemented appropriately to ensure it delivered accurate and on time.
  • Collaborate with effected business areas to identify, create and implement the business requirements effectively
  • Continually build knowledge and proficiency in applications development and changes in technology.
  • Present project status updates to superiors and key stakeholders.
  • Analyze business operations and user requests, make recommendations for process improvements and system solutions when required, and facilitate implementation of the business user inputs into the system.
  • Collaborate with different business areas to maintain and ensure the smoother support process flows
  • Develop user training plans and strategies and ensure adequate training is completed
  • May perform other duties as assigned
, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Experience with Configurator (Oracle) or other Configurator Data and Product Modeling toolsKnowledge in Oracle Configurator Extensions development/support would be a plus.Having 1-2 product life cycle experience with Configurator, Bills of Material, Inventory modules is preferredExposure to Oracle Quoting, Order Management and advanced pricing modules are definite plus.Development Skills:Programming - Python -Django configuration / setup, SQL, ZPL (Zebra programming language) for printing technologies, Power BI, Mongo DB, mySQL, RestAPI, TextBlob NLTKWeb Technologies - Java Script , HTML / CSS, Web development security best practicesCode Versioning / Deployment - Git code management, JenkinsDocumentation - LaTeX document preparation systemAdmin Skills :
  • Unix / Linux basics -File Systems, Permissions, Editing Files, Basic Shell Scripting, Apache bounce, SSH services, Cron services
  • Python manage with PIP, Virtual Environment,
  • SQL - Managing MySQL / interacting with SQL environment, Automysqlbackup
  • Managing repository with git
  • Basic deb package management
  • Web based CUPS administration
  • LDAP basics (used in authentication to Windows Active Directory)
Minimum 5+ years(s) experience with one or more of the above applications.Ability to analyze, understand and effectively communicate functional material to end users and managementACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS: BE/ B.
