Job Description

*JOB SUMMARYAs a SAFe Solution Train Engineer, you will be a servant leader and a coach for Solution Train, facilitating and guiding work of all ARTs as they deliver customer requirements utilizing SAFe Agile best practices and methodologies. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and optimize the flow of value through the ART and Solution Train using various tools, such as the Program and Solution Kanbans and other information radiators.
  • Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Iterations and Program Increments (PIs)
  • Facilitating events such as Solution or PI Planning, PI retrospectives, System / Solution Demos, ART sync or Solution Train Sync
  • Coach Executive leadership, Release Train Engineers and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets, clarifying roles and responsibilities and offering motivation and support, as necessary.
  • Escalate and track impediments
  • Facilitate collaboration, negotiation, and mediation according to SAFe Agile principles
  • Establish a constructive working relationship with the Product Owners/managers, Development team, Stakeholders and Sponsors
  • Improving and assessing the practices associated with DevOps and Release on Demand in the Continuous Delivery Pipeline
  • Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the ART and Solution Train, and help them improve
  • Foster Communities of Practice and the use of Built-In Quality practices
  • Administratively reports to the Senior Program Manager in EITS Mohali, India and Functional Reporting to PMO IT Manager in Round Rock, TX
, *Requirements
  • Minimum 12+ years of total IT Experience with Minimum 2+ years of SAFe Agile experience as Solution Train Engineer or Release Train Engineer
  • 5+ years experience as a member of a SAFe Agile team
  • SAFe Certification (Program Coach, Scrum Master, Adv Scrum Master, Agilist, Practitioner, etc)
  • Self-motivated, creative problem-solver who can adapt to new technologies and evolving customer requirements
  • Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment
  • Able to communicate (verbal and written) in a clear and concise manner, tailoring the communication appropriately to the intended audience
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Capable of dealing with and managing conflict
  • Able to work effectively in an environment with many competing and high priority demands
