Job Description

The BI Senior Product Technical Specialist is expected to have Advanced knowledge and experience with Tableau software (Desktop Pro, Server, Interactor) & Power BI and role balanced, with a strong understanding of Tableau architecture and administration and Power BI. Cloud knowledge is mandatory for porting existing applications and support them seamlessly. In this role, the individual must hold good Hands on experience and sound market knowledge of other BI Tools in the space of data discovery, data modelling, data visualisation, predictive analytics, prescriptive & descriptive analytics. In this role, the individual should be a team player and should have sound knowledge of new technologies in the BI space. This is a multi-hat hands-on role therefore the individual is expected to support multiple BI BOW and operations teams as well as support a large and diverse Tableau user community and Power BI Community within the Bank. This role will report into the Head of BI Reporting Tools COEStrategy

• Hands on experience in Tableau System Administration (includes site creation, server maintenance/Upgrades/patches).
• Knowledge of Change management including software, hardware upgrades, patches
• Capable of Monitoring/building workbooks to manage server activity/usage statistics to identify possible performance issues/enhancements
• Sound Knowledge in Performance tuning / Server management of tableau server environment (clustering, Load balancing).
• Strong Knowledge in BI tools including ETL, Data Warehousing, other BI tools.
• Manage and support migration of objects (dimensions, measures, hierarchies, reports, workbooks, dashboards), from development to production environments
• Sound knowledge of SCB processes to traverse through licensing, new node procurements, License procurements etc
• Manage BOW and coordinate prioritization activities across technical and non-technical teams
• Develop and document standards/best practices for development and administration of the Tableau platform
• Provide status to the senior management team and keep stakeholders apprised of key project activities
• Partner with business to design tableau KPI scorecards & dashboards
• Provide appropriate training and support to business users on the use of Tableau interactive web reports, and Tableau Desktop
• Challenge teams to deliver appropriate quality standards in all work products
• Work with senior management in supporting the BI visualisation roadmap for the Bank
• Maintain enterprise data management processes, governance, standards and compliance

• Good knowledge in Web based Security, Threads and its vulnerabilities and ability to fix them

Our Ideal Candidate

• Minimum of 5-6 years of Advanced knowledge and experience with Tableau software (Desktop Pro, Server, Interactor), with a strong understanding of Tableau architecture and administration.
• Experience as Tableau administrator, developing in, configuring and administering Tableau Server.
• Strong development skills in Tableau and data analytics and visualizations
• Strong Knowledge in BI tools including ETL, Data Warehousing, other BI tools.
• Experience in Tableau scripting (TABCMD and TABADMIN).
• Ability to architect a stable Tableau solution guaranteed for high operational availability.
• Experience working with Relational Databases (SQL Server - required, Oracle).
• Expertise in Tableau platform sizing, troubleshooting, tuning & disaster recovery.
• Good knowledge of Tableau Metadata tables
• Good knowledge in Azure Cloud and Power BI
• Bachelor s degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent experience
