Job Description

About You:

  • To be successful in this role, you should have minimum 10 years of experience in finance with minimum 2 years of experience in Payroll processing.
  • Should hold masters or bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or Tax or any other relevant discipline.

You will spend your Time:

  • Processing all payrolls for all India employees using different payroll systems, coordinating with payroll processing team consultants.
  • Responsible for accurate processing of all aspects of the payroll including but not limited to: o processing monthly payroll & deductions o process and maintain employee loans and monthly loan deductions o processing compensation changes, overtime and shift changes and withholding adjustments.
  • Responding to payroll inquiries from employees
  • Coordinate with Human Resources to ensure all SAP employee information is passed to payroll accurately and with appropriate backup required for auditing purposes.
  • Support in payroll budgeting, Headcount planning and reporting.
  • Co ordinate and handle other payroll compliance transactions like rovident fund, Gratuity, Leave encashment payment, final settlements etc
  • Support in managing PF trust, trust related investments and transactions.
  • Serve as point of contact for payroll system, troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Preparing and providing all required payroll and related reports like accruals, prepaid, benefits needed for month end and payroll general ledger posting.
  • Responsible for review and accurate completion of periodic and year-end reporting information.
  • Support testing and implementation of new payroll systems.
  • Respond to all auditor inquiries.
  • Respond to inquiries and requests from local tax authorities.
  • Additional tasks and projects as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Masters or bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or Tax or any other relevant discipline.
  • A highly numerate individual, able to present information in an accurate and succinct way.
  • Strong knowledge of finance and local tax regulations and implications
  • Firm understanding of payroll processing principles
  • Ability to perform under strict deadlines and under a high-volume environment where multi-tasking is essential.
  • Strong familiarity with specific payroll and time and attendance tools
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Suite especially Excel and Word
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Excellent communication skills especially fluency in English; additional languages fluency is an advantage.
  • Min 10 years of experience in finance with min 2 years of experience in Payroll processing
  • Proven track record payroll experience in manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in working across functional areas to accomplish objectives.
  • SAP FICO experience must and MS Navision, SAP EPM or any other BI tools experience preferred
  • Possess a logical and methodical work manner accompanied by high level of attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in matrix environment with different business leaders and cross functional teams
