Job Description

  • Understand immigration policy and processes and ensure that its adhered to.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all countries in the region are compliant with the immigration laws and practices by partnering with the immigration vendors and Internal Teams.
  • Responsible for partnering with the immigration vendor and ensuring all immigration related audits are conducted at the appropriate time as defined by the local immigration law.
  • Interpret immigration policies and make decisions working with COE teams on the scenarios which is raised as an exception to policy.
  • To manage and engage immigration service partners who support immigration processes for Microsoft in the region.
  • Ensure HR Data integrity and compliance through accurate management of immigration records for all foreign nationals and vendor management
  • Ensure knowledge management of HR processes through proper documentation of the country specific immigration processes and policies in the region.
  • Responsible for driving standardization and continuous improvement in area of responsibility.
  • Accountable for Data Privacy and security
  • Continuously strive to gain customer satisfaction and minimize complaints on the delivery of HR Operations Services

  • A minimum of 5+ years, in the area of immigration
  • Good knowledge around basic immigration laws in the region that the candidate will support.
  • Shared services experience will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to manage a high degree of confidentiality, exercising care in addressing issues, seeking input or counsel before acting in complex situations, and ability to apply these attributes to sensitive issues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Must have strong planning, coordination and organizational skills
  • Possess initiative & drive; with strong desire to continuously improve processes & deliver against agreed objectives/ service levels
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and willingness to help others
  • Candidate must be able to work under pressure and within short time constraints.
  • SAP HR system understanding.
  • Solid knowledge and proficiency in Vision & Excel
  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
  • Highly collaborative and networking
