Job Description

Greetings from Tata Projects!We are currently looking for a Survey Manager for a Road Project in Chennai. Kindly refer to below role description:Qualification Criteria:

  1. B.E / B.Tech / Diploma in Engineering (Civil Engineers Preferred)
  2. 8 to 12 years of experience (Post Engineering Degree) in road surveying
  3. Knowledge of operating AutoCAD and total station / optical plummet / laser levels
Objective:Responsible for all Survey work and Geometry control for the sub structure & super Structures at Project site. Responsibilities:
  1. Involved in planning for the daily & monthly survey work & resource
  2. Responsible for documentation for the client, internal & external audit.
  3. Prepare layout for all type of sub-structure & super structure for minor & major bridge and Liaised with client & consultant.
  4. Collect the Topography survey of existing Road, ROW & Buildings from site & design the as built drawing and showing the existing structures
  5. Prepare the daily Program for Survey and Construction work with Project Incharge.
  6. Checking the cross section in Auto Cad & Road Estimator to calculate the excavation and Filling Quantity for Road Work.
  7. Maintaining the Strip Chart/ Bar chart for all Construction
  8. Organize implementation of any action plans necessary for survey tasks and monitor the achievement of targets set.
  9. Co-ordinate and resolve survey queries, including co-ordination with consultants and subcontractors that may be involved in survey tasks
  10. Communicate all survey issues amongst the project teams
