  • Supports diversity and inclusion initiatives, as set by the Senior Management and assists the Diversity & Inclusion team with executing relevant strategies
  • Coordinates the scheduling of Diversity Council and Diversity Council Steering Committee meetings, and relevant diversity and inclusion events or programming
  • Tracks finances for the Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, and provide monthly reports to the Senior Management
  • Updates and maintains various sections of the diversity & inclusion intranet and social site (including the events calendar, the language on programs and partnerships, photo galleries, etc.)
  • Coordinate and ensure the intranet communicates Bank s sustainability issues, procedures, and objectives
  • Assists the Diversity & Inclusion team with the communication of the bank s diversity and inclusion commitment and activities, through the bank s newsletter and other publications
  • In support of the Diversity & Inclusion team, compile and organize data in response to industry surveys regarding diversity and inclusion, professional development, and recruiting
  • Assists with other diversity and inclusion needs as necessary
  • Develop sustainability project goals, objectives, and initiatives
  • Collect information about waste stream management and green building practices
  • Partner with the leaders, Employee Resource Groups, and key internal and external stakeholders to design, iterate, and scale initiatives that further increase the diversity of our team and ensure people from all backgrounds can truly succeed
  • Work alongside the executive team and events team to craft and deliver powerful content for company-facing gatherings to align our employees around shared business goals, market opportunities, and how we will win in our industry
  • Lead targeted projects that help employees feel increasingly connected, appreciated, and inspired throughout their career
  • Drive the social impact efforts, mobilizing the company to give back to our communities so that we re helping to strengthen our external as well as internal community
  • Effectively build rapport with diverse groups, manage complex projects from ideation to launch to scale, and develop and deliver content that effectively changes hearts and minds (and behaviours)
  • Comfortable telling engaging stories in front of a crowd and coordinating cross-functional efforts behind the scenes
  • Drive a proactive and issues relating to community strategy
  • Researching and advising on diversity and inclusion issues and creating programmes, training and values around this
  • Organising the disability services and corresponding affected areas i.e. recruitment
  • Supporting and guiding the recruitment team to help create a brand that appeals to diverse applicants and removes bias
  • Identifying external trends and recognising best practice which will increase diversity among the workforce
  • Maintaining relationships with diversity related businesses, with the intention of working together and improving the company brand
  • Preparing and building relationships among colleagues through diversity and inclusion training
  • Reviewing the organisations workplace, policies and procedures, ensuring that these are all inclusive
  • Design company policies that reinforce diversity in the workplace, address all kinds of harassment and protect minority groups and women
  • Training hiring managers and HR staff on how to select, manage, evaluate and retain diverse employees
  • Revise and update all communication on our website, social media pages, job descriptions and internal documents to ensure we use non-discriminatory language
  • Review our selection criteria to verify they re objective and strictly job-related
  • Recommend benefits packages that cater to all employees
  • Measure and forecast diversity metrics
  • Act as a consultant to underrepresented groups and make sure all voices are heard
  • Organize trainings to boost employees communication abilities and team spirit
  • Represent our company at various career events (like job fairs)
  • Ensure compliance with state or country regulations on diversity and equity
  • Oversight of all Project in Chennai, as required to ensure project compliance with standards, including familiarisation, utilisation and adherence to Standard Chartered, in particular Project Governance, Change Control, Financial Management and Value Add
  • Manage, maintain and develop internal and external relationships in support of existing and new project(s)
  • Should be able to launch community initiatives (e.g. building an online forum, launching an ambassador program, creating an event series and writing an email newsletter)
  • Able to identify and track relevant community metrics (e.g. repeat attendance at events)
  • Proactively work to resolve deficiencies in project delivery
Our Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate will ideally have the following skills:
  • Tech-savvy professional, experienced in social media, PR and promotional events
  • Idealistic aspirations but pragmatic approaches
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with event management, including identifying, coordinating, and prepping speakers and working with facilities and IT
  • Experience with user research and/or design thinking, so that what you build is rooted in real needs and solutions that can actually work for the user

  • Experience drafting and delivering speeches, talks, and/or business storytelling
  • Must handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and care
