Job Description

*Roles & Responsibilities

  • Propose design concepts for Air Intake system, Exhaust system, Engine Cooling system & Fuel system mountings and integration with chassis.
  • Design of Plastic ducts, Plastic shrouds, rubber bellows, sheet metal brackets and casting brackets, Rubber foams
  • Pipes routing and appropriate clamping and support based on vehicle packaging requirements.
  • Capable of performing root cause analysis and propose design solution for issue resolution
  • Knowledgeable on the Engine periphery system (Air Intake, Exhaust, Cooling & Fuel systems) requirements and be able to propose multiple design solutions
  • Co-ordination within team and across teams for the design packaging
  • Co-ordination with prototype, testing team for the fitment and validation of design concept
  • Support to Production team based on day to day clarifications
Skills Required:
  • Expertise in UniGraphics
  • Expertise in Product data management Engineering client
  • Experience in Commercial vehicle industry, preferable
  • Knowledge in designing plastic parts, exhaust pipe routing, sheet metal brackets and castings
  • Knowledge in Air Intake system, Exhaust system, Cooling system & Fuel system and basic requirements of each system as per Engine data sheet
  • Excellent knowledge in making 2D drawings, dimensioning and stack-up tolerancing
  • Good communication skills
  • Good team player with ability to learn and achieve more
