Job Description

    Responsibilities & Key Deliverables 1. Leads the project from concept to Productionisation for first time right product launch. 2. To understand the Product Strategy of the sector and to develop further a model cycle plan which has elements of technology, planning, and to detail out the master resource plan for successful execution of the programmes. 3. Drive the project along with the Program Managers and System Leads and interface with other stakeholders (Manufacturing, CDMM etc.) on Project delivery as per Mahindra Product Development Process 4. Monitor and control new products / projects portfolio to ensure that the projects are in line with the QCD committed to the business by participating in project review, EC reviews, and gateway review on the basis of the reports generated by program manager which captures status / deviation / risks with respect to the committed plan. 5. Initiate new projects as function strategy to establish feasibility/viability of new opportunities identified in the sector strategy by directing / facilitating a cross functional team with clear understanding of expectations and training to understand customer voice capture and also building the business case. 6. Initiate and recommend of new processes to ensure that the new processes are more effective and efficient than the current by consolidating available information, benchmarking competition and renovating existing processes. 7. Enhance competence of program management to have a robust project management discipline which will help in function portfolio plan by role modelling, training, on job coaching and reinventing the developing and new processes as well as competencies. 8. Monitor and control of revenue and capital budget in the function to achieve projected committed cash flow for the financial sector budget by reviewing requirements, consolidating, proposing for the sector budget and ensuring adherence to planned expenditure. 9. Developing and execution of division and IT strategy to achieve a robust IT infrastructure that facilitates faster time to market by understanding technologies, proposed by various vendors , checking appropriateness and maturity of the technology for our scale and road map for implementation. 10. Lead and mentor team of young program managers and deal with complexities of executing simultaneously large number of programs at multiple locations. 11. Understanding of vehicle systems and vehicle development cycle for flawless product launches. 12. Expert in Product development and launch process, should be able to identify and deploy efficient process to improve over existing process to achieve optimal lead time and resources.
