Job Description

To strengthen Fire Safety management procedures at site including Maintaining pump house, Safety equipment, Fire NOC compliance.,

  1. To conduct the Fire Safety Audit
  2. To maintain the Fire detection system
  3. To maintain Fire Extinguishers, Fire Hydrant System Network, Fire sprinkler system and NOVAC 123 Fire suppression system.
  4. To Maintain the fire pumps and daily testing of pumps.
  5. Tracking the Monthly servicing of Fire extinguishers and Fire Hydrant system and maintaining the necessary documents.
  6. Testing of Fire sprinklers on quarterly basis
  7. Conducting Fire drills (Wet & Dry drills) on quarterly basis.
  8. Conducting Mock Drills (Localized and Full scale mock drills)
  9. Conducting Basic Firefighting training to all employees including contract workmen.
  10. Managing the Fire guards and ensure safe execution of Hot work permits.
  11. Critical & High Fire risk activities need to be identified and action plan to be prepared to minimize/eliminate the risk.
  12. Maintaining the Foam units and AFFF & ARFFF stocks.
  13. Emergency Eye wash shower cleaning and monitoring
  14. Self-contained Breathing apparatus & ELBA Maintenance and monitoring
  15. Management of AMC vendor for the service and maintenance of Fire hydrant Diesel Engine, Hydrant system and Extinguishers.
  16. Coordination with service engineers for the periodical preventive maintenance of the Fire hydrant pumps.
  17. To maintain the Onsite emergency and Fire NOC conditions compliance
  18. To conduct EHS walk through surveys at shop floor during odd hours/shift hours.
  19. Maintaining the Emergency control centre (ECC).
  20. Liaison with Fire Department to get the Fire NOC.
