Job Description

    Core DBARoles and ResponsibilitiesOracle Databases with strong Oracle core DBA skills (Oracle 11g, 12c and 19c)aware of CD/CI concepts in an agile development environmentexperience with shell scriptingexperience in Unix/Linuxexperience with scheduling using cron/UACOracle Databases with strong Oracle core DBA skills (Oracle 11g, 12c and 19c)experience in Oracle DBA with extensive security knowledge and like to work in a DevOps team in a complex environmentExtensive knowledge of Oracle Exadata and ZFS.Good knowledge of Oracle Enterprise ManagerGood knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Linux and virtualizationFair amount of knowledge of Exalogic Elastic Cloud.Fair experience with automation (Ansible and Git)Managing Oracle database environment - In-Premise and/or Cloud Environment (preferrably OCI), versions 19c, 18c, 12cSetup, Perform and monitor database backups for successful completion.Configure Data Guard databases, support, monitoring and rebuild standby DBs.Install and patch Oracle database software - RDBMS and Grid, RAC (11g, 12c, 18c, 19c) and related componentsPerform database performance tuning(indexing and optimizer strategies, stored procedures/triggers, partitioning, commit levels, rollbacks, locking schemes, temporary spaces/sort areas, and memory management).Strong RAC Implementation and support experience.19c/18c/12 Database upgrades and migration experience.Proficient in instance (memory) tuning, database performance tuning, SQL tuning, configuring Linux Kernel for Oracle Database usage, and tuning contention for I/OProvide end to end technical management and support for Oracle Engineered systems.PCA, Exalogic, Exadata and OTDWork with Oracle support and Field engineer for hardware replacement and troubleshooting including hard disks PDU InfiniBand switches Cisco switches Flash Disks CPU and DIMM for Oracle Engineered SystemWork with Oracle support to upgrade the firmware on Engineered system components Experience on quarterly basis. Exadata Exalogic Oracle full stackPatching Exadata Compute Storage Cells administrationExalogic control stack and Server administration Implementation knowledge on IORM and Huge Pages on ExadataInstall Upgrade Patch Oracle Linux Linux Kernel OS administration LVM creation and management Linux scriptingSkills Bash Powershell or Python for task automation system monitoring general system health enhancements and improving the overall system security posture.Knowledge on OCI and migration from on prem to OCI is added advantage.
