About the position :We have two position available for the post of Environment, Health, and Safety Manager, one each at its Bawal and Chennai plants.The EHS Manager will be responsible for developing and executing environment, health, and safety plans in the workplace according to the related legal guidelines. The incumbent will ensure the preparation and enforcement of policies for establishing a culture of health and safety. An added responsibility includes evaluating the practices, procedures, and facilities for assessing risk, and also the plans for mitigating risk.General duties and job responsibilities :- Inspect company facilities to identify safety, health, and environmental risks- Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures, and draw up a schedule for routine inspections- Develop EHS procedures for defined areas of the company- Conduct trainings to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant EHS topics- Monitor EHS compliance with safety procedures- Draft inspection reports to document inspection findings- Maintain records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required- Inspect equipment and machinery to detect possible unsafe conditions- Investigate accidents or unfortunate incidents to discover their causes and handle compensation claims (e.g. for workers)- Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities, or new prevention measures- Report on health and safety awareness issues and statistics- Planning and coordinating internal audits of EHS (ISO 14001: 2015) and OHSAS (ISO 45001:2018) - Liaison with third part certification body for EHS and OHSAS related auditsEducation and experience :- Bachelors degree in environmental safety, occupational safety, and health, or a related field- 10-14 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in an automotive or automotive component manufacturing company- Successfully completed Lead auditor course of ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS ISO 45001:2018Required knowledge and skills :- Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail- Proficiency in the technology and equipment used in environmental inspections- Well versed in MS Excel and Power Point,
