It is the objective of the Company to have infrastructure development projects, preferably in port & terminal development.Show More We offerEnsure the project is executed and delivered on its primary objectives based on time, budget and scope/specifications.Ensures that project execution is conducted in accordance with shareholders policies, standards and guidelines.Manage the day to day internal and external stakeholders in and around the project.In this position, the incumbent will have an opportunity to acquire skills and knowledge in the following areas:Building up on general management experienceWhile being primarily a specialist position, experience can be gained in interpersonal skills development & in negotiation skills.Knowledge of terminal operations management will also be enhancedShow More Key responsibilitiesParticipate in, assist in and contribute to the development of the process of tendering, bids receipt, bids evaluation and contracting specific projects, hereunderProvide financial advice and input on the development of tender material and contracts.Participate in the bid evaluation including assisting in the development of the internal bid evaluation and approval process.Organize the total spectrum and flow of documents pertaining to contractor s and sub-contractor s compliance with Labour Act and regulations, Provident Fund and regulations, project implementation and contract monitoring, hereunder:Liaise with Procurement department to ensure contractor/sub-contractor is in compliance with company requirements derived from prevailing law and regulations of India.In respect of the specific projects initiated, monitoring and maintaining the required and necessary flow of documents ensuring appropriate and required follow up on project progress, contractor s/sub-contractor s invoices received, payment of contractor s/sub-contractor s invoices, commitments in the form of contractual provisions and estimates to completion, hereunder:Monitoring internal controls and administrative procedures put in place to ensure effective project control of time, quality and finances.Proposing additional and/or revised internal controls and administrative procedures to be implemented to increase the level of assurance and accountability.Assist PIM in the development and implementation of risk management, claims management andnon-conformance management in respect of specific projects/contracts.Ensuring contractor s/sub-contractor s invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner as per contractual provisions or, if no such provisions have been agreed upon, as per company policy.In respect of the total portfolio of projects, prepare and present project/contract financial information, which will include information on project progress, providing PIM and company management with timely and appropriate management information, hereunder:Managing and ensuring the continuous data collection, validation and reporting for specific projects/contracts, hereunder analyzing actual cost and estimates, reviewing technical and time- wise progress and highlighting projects/contracts, where managerial focus will be required.Ensuring the production of project estimate-to-completion and project cash flow forecast.Preparing regular project cost reports for planned projects and works under execution.Provide financial advice and guidance in general to PIM.Ensure PIM, project managers, consulting engineers etc. understand the financial consequences of decisions and put forward alternatives, if deemed beneficial to the company.Coordinate the planning, budgeting, reporting and forecasting activities of the department.Show More We are looking forMinimum four years duration degree in Civil Engineering from the recognised university as per UGC. Post-graduate in Civil Engineering from the recognised university will be preferredExperience: After completion of the specified educational qualification, minimum 10 to 12 years of experience of execution of civil engineering works. In case of promotion minimum five years of experience at the level of the Senior Manager is required. Some experience in design of civil engineering structures / components is desirable. Experience of execution of port projects or port maintenance will carry additional weight.Fluent in English and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.Experience with Microsoft Project Job Costing and/or with ERP systems (specifically SAP, Great Plains or IFS) as well as experience from the construction industry or ports sector will be considered a distinctive advantage.Must follow safe working procedures and safety instructions,
