Job Description

Mandatory:

  • 10+ years of experience in Mechanical product design development and RD management.
  • Strong people management skills of team building, talent and competency development.
  • Proven Competency in multiple Mechanical Engineering skills like design and fabrication of stamped, machined, welded, plastic formed, plastic injection molded parts, material selection, tolerance stack-up and GDT, 3D-CAD modeling and design drafting, FEA, CFD.
  • Proficient in mechanical design modeling tools like Pro-E, Solidworks, GDT.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process, engineering change process, Design Verification and Validation, Design and Risk Management documents, Excellent analytical skills, Effective interpersonal communications skills.

Desirable:

  • Experienced in working with regulated industries like Medical devices, Aerospace etc.
  • Demonstrate domain expertise with Welding, sheet metal, die casting, formed andor molded parts, extrusions and other mechanical assemblies.
  • Coordinate with sourcing and qualifying new parts,also capable of performing capital and piece estimation on new products

Job Purpose:

  • Provides leadership to the ME team, Guide Engineers on execution, design analysis, design documentation, be responsible for recruitment, on-boarding and people development.

Job Profile:

  • Experience in project and program management. Ability to manage programs and work as point of contact for project related aspects with the stakeholders
  • Develop supplier partners for new product development and manufacturing aspects.
  • Identifies and develops high potential employees, technical talent and future leaders development in team
  • Ability to Communicate frequently across all project and business unit stakeholders to ensure project team and senior management are aware of upcoming milestones and risks/issues.
  • Understanding of medical device standards and regulations is a big plus
