Job Description

Department Specific Responsibilities

  • Ability to work in an Agile environment
  • Understand the capabilities and functionality of the ELM Solutions platform and products.
  • Problem-solving skills - successful production support engineers excel at resolving problems encountered by users, whether these require only quick fixes or major collaborative efforts across various departments.
  • Technical expertise - The support engineer must have a deep understanding of the product as well as the processes behind it.
  • Customer service - Support engineers must communicate well with customers, paying attention to their concerns and providing clear, regular updates for ongoing requests.
  • Attention to detail - its crucial for production support engineers to be mindful of details that need to captured and analyzed before arriving/proposing a solution.
  • Multitasking - production support engineers handle technical issues from multiple customers at the same time.
Role Specific Responsibilities
  • Responsible for closely working with multiple development teams
  • Gain a technical and functional understanding of the platform architecture.
  • Expertise in analyzing logs to isolate problems.
  • Expertise in querying DB and analyzing the data returned as part of troubleshooting the issue.
  • Collect logs and data to assist in ongoing investigation of underlying defects.
  • Interact directly with our partners and clients to resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Notify the management team of any potential escalations.
  • Work in rotational shifts and provide on-call support as needed.
  • Available on a short notice to troubleshoot Production issues with Release team.
  • Closely interact with Release team, IT Operations engineers, DBA s, Support engineers and QA personnel during all phases.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONSEducation:
  • Bachelor degree in Computer science/Information Technology, Preferably B.E/B.Tech
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years hands on experience in Dot Net code development and technical support.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills including documentation.
  • Ability to trace and debug Web applications.
  • Understanding of one or more relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) including the ability to run queries and analyze the output.
  • Knowledge and experience in developing T-SQL for Microsoft SQL Server .
  • Experience with Java script, JQuery and HTML .
  • Experience with any enterprise monitoring systems like, Splunk, App Dynamics etc. is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of scripting language: Python, Ruby, Powershell, etc. to automate tasks and gather data.
  • Knowledge in TFS and Azure DevOps.
Critical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
  • Capacity to be creative, innovative, results-focused, self-starter
  • Excellent Communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to take responsibility for project deliverables to get the job done
  • Work independently with little direct supervision or review
  • Strong knowledge of Source Code Control System: Team Foundation Server
  • Experience with any enterprise monitoring systems like, Splunk, App Dynamics etc. is highly desired.
  • Knowledge with continuous integration and deployment practices
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2017/2019.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
