Responsibilities & Key Deliverables1. Develop finite element modelling of Engine and Transmission components and Systems, by understanding and adhering to element and part quality check sheets. 2. Should be able to assign material properties, connections, joints and contacts in Abaqus 3. Apply loads and Boundary conditions required for linear and nonlinear Static analysis. 4. Carry out Modal and frequency response analysis for components and systems. 5. Analysis for engine 5Cs(Cylinder head, Crankcase, Crankshaft, Connecting rod, and Camshaft) and transmission housings for nonlinear static strength and fatigue analysisFunctional Competencies / Skills critical for the job1. Working knowledge of Automotive Systems 2. Understand and analyze Cranktrain and Valvetrain dynamics 3. Ability to post-process results and make reports. 4. Good knowledge of Engine and transmission components and systems 5. Good fundamentals - Strength of materials and Applied mechanics 6. Should know different tests for Powertrain and driveline system and recommend design modifications to meet acceptance criteria based on analysis results.Behavioral Competencies 1.
