Job Description

Investment/Wealth ManagementInvestment/Wealth Management consists of multiple businesses segmented as Wealth Management, and Investment Management which includes various Investment firms, a regionally based Distribution segment, and an Infrastructure/Center segment. All businesses have a global footprint, with complex products and services to help BNYM clients succeed.S/he may be called upon to contribute to or perform analysis of complex financial transactions, budgeting, forecasting, planning, reporting, general ledger accounts, operating performance, profitability, and industry/competitor outcomes and trends and special project assignments. Such duties may focus on revenue line items, or expense line items (including direct or indirect/allocated expenses) or a combination of both revenue and expense for a given department within one of the business lines cited above. Additionally, such duties could cover metric analysis and reporting including Assets under Management (AUM), Annualized Enterprise Revenue (AER), and Asset Flows.Job DescriptionThe Specialist provides business, financial, and/or systems analysis and reporting support for Finance Inform to Manage Processes. S/he is responsible for providing financial analysis and reporting including budgeting, forecasting and month-end close support including variance commentary for an IWM business line as out-lined above. S/he will act as process owner for assigned tasks, interfacing with finance team-mates globally and / or Line of Business clients of said businesses. S/he will lead the effort to ensure any service level documents (SLD s) are in place where needed in accordance with regulatory and third-party governance (TPG) requirements.S/he might need to perform and deliver adhoc requests from businesses as needed. S/he will also develop and deliver approved process documentation and training content to the knowledge management warehouse for publication.S/he will be an individual contributor who can help and guide other team members. S/he will report to the respective business manager locally and/ or globally.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform all facets of Management reporting for a given function (compensation, or HC reporting, or Purchased Services as examples) or Line of business for an Investment or Wealth Management business unit.Reporting of the monthly actuals, along with related forecasting, variance commentary and budgetingActing as the main owner of assigned Line of Business, or functional P&L line item along with handling all forecast adjustments, budgeting adjustments, and financial modeling.Lead the effort to ensure all Service Level Documents (SLD s) are in place where needed in accordance with regulatory and Third Party Governance (TPG) requirementsQualificationsBachelor Degree in a financial discipline such as accounting, finance, statistics, or economics; or local country equivalent is required. MBA; or local country equivalent is preferred. Professional qualification like CA, CWA or equivalent certification issued by local area Licensing body would be an added advantageSkills & Experience7-plus years of experience in accounting or finance.3-plus years of experience in budgeting, planning, forecasting, cost allocations, financial analysis and modeling.
