Job Description

Key Skills:

  • Strong Experience in Storage & Backup Administrations
  • Hands on experience on SANs, SAN boxes/External Storage, NAS based storage
  • Experience in Install, upgrade and configure.
  • Hands-On experience on EMC (VNX, VMAX, Celerra, Unity) ,NetApp series storage arrays and other IBM,HP Products
  • Hands-On experience in Comvault, Veeam & other backup application.
  • Experience on troubleshoot and maintain SAN infrastructure performance, hardware, and connectivity
  • Experience on Cisco and Brocade series FC switches
  • Experience on SAN storage provisioning, LUN masking and zoning
  • Experience on Storage capacity planning, performance analysis, monitoring, reporting
  • Understanding NFS, CIFS, and Fiber Channel protocols
  • Experience in supporting and managing the replication
  • Strong knowledge of all backup solutions and concepts such as Policy types, retentions, SLP, Net-backup process flow, DE duplication.
  • Good knowledge of Storage Pools, RAID groups, LUN masking, zoning.
  • Experience in Storage Virtualization, deduplication, BCV, Remote copy, Synchronous and asynchronous, data center fibre cables.
  • Experience in Setup and administer Storage Units and storage devices, Tape Libraries, VTL, Data Domains and Basic Disks
  • Understand product technology and prepare technical documentation, SOPs and setting migration plan / strategy
  • Basic level of scripts knowledge.
  • Should have Good experience in OEM Coordination and Vendor management.
  • Should have Good Experience in Customer Coordination (understand customer needs and providing solutions).
  • Should have exposure in ITSM Tools.
  • Strong in ITIL Process.
    • Key Responsibilities:Monitor & Manage Storage & Backup
  • Configure and Maintain space management LUN , SAN Switches.
  • Proactive Maintenance of Storage Infra
  • Install, patch and maintain all versions of Storage & SAN Switches
    • Responsible for Incident, Problem, Change Management & Service Request.Identifying appropriate use of best practices and implementing.
  • Generating reports of infra capacity.
  • Interaction with OEM for Highly Critical technical support
  • Responsible for Reports & Technical documentation.
    • Should be capable to guide the team/individual on requirement basis.
  • Communicate effectively with Customers
  • Responsible for MIS Reports/ Technical documents
  • Customer/Vendor Co ordination
  • Adhere to ITSM based Ticket Management with SLA Compliance
    • Candidate Profile:
  • 5 - 6 years in Storage & Backup Administration particular in EMC Storage, NetApp Storage, Networker, NetBackup and CommVault
  • Good knowledge of multiple operating system environments like windows, Linux and UNIX
  • Flexible to extend beyond work hours towards accomplishing assigned tasks.
  • Minimum 2 Implementation cycle (individual contributor)
  • Excellent spoken and written English Communication.
  • Good attitude towards corporate environment.
  • Team player & Mentor to the team.
  • Energetic, self-motivated and self-sufficient in accomplishing tasks.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
