Tax Accountant

Job Description

What you will do
• Be accountable for proper accounting and tax account reconciliations in areas of expertise
• Be accountable for filing of tax returns and completing tax payments in accordance with statutory deadlines
• Extract reports from Oracle and subsystems
• Ensure accurate completion of templates for tax payments, journal entries, and monthly account reconciliations
• Respond to notices and queries from tax authorities
• Ensure proper accounting for uncertain tax positions in area of responsibility
• Ensure compliance with business and process controls
• Oversee tax compliance and audit activities
• Perform technical research and extensively participate in strategic tax planning initiatives
• Assist with special projects of diverse scope and provides advanced tax support and guidance to other Red Hat departments
• Serve as key point of contact for external parties
What you will bring
• Bachelor s degree in tax, accounting, finance, commerce, or related field
• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Professional accounting qualification and tax certification
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Fluent written and verbal English
• Experience with Oracle is a plus
