This vital role requires both in-depth & wider Cloud technology experience in customer facing environment. Also, critical to this role is the need for an acute understanding of the impact of mission critical activities in CLOUD. Would require working on challenging technical problems and have a passion for solving problems with innovative and robust solutions. Person should actively look for ways to automate and simplify complex processes, think ahead to future needs as well as present, take pride in being thorough and detail-oriented, and function well in a fast-paced environment.Job Description :oCreate and maintain a high level of skills in telco cloud through training and technology watch (follow up on evolutions, open source activities, standardization).o Cloud utilization analysis & optimizationoCloud operational assessment & remediationo Ensures documentation and implementation of best practices / learnings (as received from other Market CTs and Global Customer contactsoDebugging of problems: identifying and viewing logs, compare/contrast, investigationo Responsible for multiple large scale complex platforms and be expected to keep new product offerings on track Maintain functional and technical requirementsoSelf-disciplined, self-motivated and the ability to organize and prioritize time effectively. Experience in telco cloud (e.g. ETSI MANO, OpenStack, SDN, Open-O, ONAP,SRIOV,OVS, DPDK)o In-depth understanding of Cloud technologies and ecosystem, Open Stack Architecture and the componentsoMust know architecture, operations and be able to troubleshoot bugs within OpenStack to achieve root cause analysiso Identifying relevant specific components and interfaces needed for a cloud infrastructure & virtualization platform.oCloud Management Platform (VIM controller)o End to end architectural know how on Open stack components (RHEL host OS & Linux components)oWorking on SRIOV, PCI-PT, OVS compute nodes ,Nova (Compute) knowledgeo Cloud - execution environment, cloud orchestrators, Knowledge on Performance tool like Zabbix, ceilometeroExcellent knowledge on Data centers, Compute, Storage( CEPH storage ) and Networking-DC network virtualization based on SDN controllers and virtual switcheso NFV architectureoTenant virtual network implementation stretching across multiple NFVIo Demonstrated experience in cloud administration in datacenter.oDemonstrated experience in engineering and virtualization in the cloud environment including: virtual machine deployment and management, cloud orchestration, service instantiation and assurance and cloud analytics(optional).o Redhat 7, any one of the cloud technologies (OpenStack, Azure, AWS)oBackup/restore and Upgrade rollbacko Linux distributions: Ubuntu, Centos, Red hatoLive experience in deploying the Cloud Infra using Red Hat Open Stack using Triple O.o Trouble shooting with OS for memory and CPU utilization breaches.oExpert level Linux OS troubleshooting. Ability to troubleshoot issues with the underlying components of OpenStack when investigating incidents or testing new features and projectso Demonstrated ability to use configuration languages like Puppet/Chef/Ansible/Salt/Bash to create automations and manage systemsoUnderstands service deployment using the Virtualization, Orchestration, Image, and Bare Metal Provisioning services etc.o Strong in fundamentals including Networking, Security, OS concepts, Virtualization etc.oDesign, Implement and Maintain Cloud infrastructure and serviceso Server Hardware and Software integration & testing, installation of virtualization services, Cloud, server OS, applications.oConfiguring storage, networking and security functionalities.o Storage knowledge like HP, EMC and IBM LUN creation and allocation.oNetwork Knowledge with create and assigning VLANS.o Debugging of problems: identifying and viewing logs, compare/contrast, investigationoStorage: manage, create, investigate performance issues, and debug.o Experience with tcpdump, netstat and other network sniffing toolsoHigh Availability implementation experience; pacemaker, corosync, heartbeat (1|2)o MySQL or other Database AdministrationoPrior experience in Systems Architecture or Systems Engineering, Cloud, Network Operation are desirable.Web/Application Development Skills Preferred :o Write basic application in an object-oriented programming language like Python or PHPoHTML and CSSo Shell scripting.Hardware skills and competencies include :oMonitoring tools / applicationso HP c7k PlatformoHP other platformso DELL HWoStorage Array Managemento EMC VNX series hardwareoNetApp E-series hardware knowledge is added advantageo Nokia Airframe hardware knowledge is added advantageNetworking relevant skills :oISO modelo TCP/IPoAbility to understand and read network config fileso Understand netmasks, GWs, routes, ospf, static routing, lacp, trunks, vlans, vxlansoProxy: familiarity, understand what it is, has ideas to resolveo Debug routing errors, trace E2E pathoUnderstand Leaf/Switch topologyo DNS, DHCP, NTPCertifications preferred :oRH Open stack certification (CL210 | CL310)o RHEL Certified AdministratoroStorage certificate HP, EMC, IBM etc.o PythonoKubernetesSkill Sets/Behaviors :o Preferred Degree(s): Graduate degree (B.E) with at least 5-7 years of working experienceoPreferred Major(s): Electronics & Telecommunications Engineer, Computer Scienceo Required language : English fluent (all communications and documents are done in English).oSkills & Behaviors : Self-driven, strong communication skills, able to lead and drive team to consensus, work experience in cloud computing/telco domain preferred,
