  • Technically lead software projects through all stages of the life cycle, including responsibility towards understanding and capturing requirements, design, development and acceptance testing
  • Produce high quality technical documentation
  • Decompose technical tasks and provide estimates
  • Mentor and coach less experienced members of the team
  • Undertake development tasks without supervision, including software designing, programming and testing within a Test-Driven Development process
  • Monitor progress and provide updates to the Project Manager
  • Understand and apply a formal quality approach towards design, development and testing phases
Must have Technical skills:
  • Web front-end experience GWT/Ember JS/React JS
  • Core Java / JEE / JBoss EAP
  • Object-relational Mappers JPA/Hibernate
  • Java Web Services
  • Jboss Rules
  • JMS/Kafka
  • XML / XSLT
  • JUnit
  • The application of design patterns
  • Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Relational database - Oracle
BusinessApplication Development and Support
  • Understand user requirements and break it into high level & low level design
  • Perform coding in line with existing architecture boundaries, use best practices and coding standards
  • Handle user requests for creation of new data and set up
  • Responsible for meeting development schedules and ensuring the delivered solution meets the technical specifications and design requirements
  • Co-ordinate with the teams to resolve issues (thru clarification, data fixes and program fixes following required process) in development & test environments
  • Support production rollouts and change implementations followed by successful UVT
  • Conduct peer-reviews and lead reviews and provide feedback
  • Provide accurate and detailed weekly task reports
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good understanding and able to apply standards and processes laid down within the team, and/or standards as defined by project and SCB.
  • Ability to work in a highly compliant landscape and work within the boundaries of globally defined software quality management practices and policies
  • Understand that traceability and reporting are extremely important in highly compliant environments and be prepared to engrain these practices in team s ways of working
