If you have a need for flexibility, then please discuss this with the Hiring Manager.o The Group Planning and Stress Test Office:o Stress Testing:Owns the stress testing governance framework and operating model for group wide capital stress testsManages the primary oversight committee for Stress Testing at Barclays, Stress Test SteerCo manages the agenda, moderates presentation content, ensures appropriate governance discharged for all stress testing related mattersOwns key stress testing material for presentation to internal and external stakeholders, including CFO, CRO, Board, Board Risk Committee and regulatorsEnsures appropriate framework for stress test results review and challenge is in placeProvides commercial insight, review and challenge into stress test resultsDrafts and updates content for Stress Testing Frameworks, Operating Models, Policies, Standards and InstructionsOwns the qualitative self-assessment of stress testing capabilities against the BCBS Principles of Stress TestingRepresents Stress testing outcomes in the ICAAP and other regulatory returnso Planning:Helps set the overall narrative for the annual High Level Shape and Medium Term PlansWorks with Group Strategy to ensure the firm s Strategic priorities help drive the Planning processProvides commercial insight and content for Group planning documentso Climate Reporting:Overall responsibility, along with Group Sustainability, for the internal and external Climate Reporting metrics of the firm and supporting the Climate MGIEstablishing a centralised Climate Reporting team, within the Internal Reporting FTC to produce internal and external Climate metrics and more granular Decision Support information to help businesses to manage portfolios in line with published Portfolio Alignment targets.o The Stress test office works closely with:o The Planning & Stress testing Finance Transaction Cycle (FTC) who lead the operational delivery of the planning and stress testing processo Group Treasury who own the group capital plan, a key component of group wide plans and capital stress testso Group Capital Risk, who are responsible for the scenario design/expansion and second line oversight of the stressed capital planso SMEs in Risk, Finance and Treasury on coordination of coherent objectives, principles, methodology and points of regulatory interpretationo Model owners and first line submitters to ensure appropriate capture of model risk and provide independent challenge to their results where appropriateo Stress Test SteerCo, providing senior management reporting and insights and ensuring the coherence of the front to back narrative to enable challengeWhat will you be doing o Contribute to the Planning & Stress testing Office responsibilities across all 3 areas of team scope: Stress Testing, Planning & Climate Reportingo Provide senior management reporting and insight on stress testing results.o Produce insightful and easy to consume Planning & Stress Testing board & Exco materialo Understand the commercial drivers of the businesses and be able to articulate these to the wider team and managemento Contribute to the Planning & Stress Testing Office s central review and challenge capability by analysing business submissions for plausibility and commercial logic against benchmark datao Manage regulatory related matters in regards to stress testing, ensuring action plans are established and monitored to remediate regulatory feedback.o Deliver Planning & Stress Testing related content for the ICAAPo Produce minutes and tracking actions from key committees, such as Stress Test SteerCoo Work with the new Climate Reporting team to help establish the target state internal and external climate reporting suite, and with business owners to establish key decision support data required to manage portfolios in line with published commitmentso Deliver high quality MI with a challenging but positive influential style, in order to make recommendations off the back of detailed analytical worko Be an effective team player with excellent communication skills and have a reputation for integrity, which can evoke rapid trust and confidence in clients, colleagues and their team.o Logical and thoughtful approach to work and the ability to multi-task/work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Pays careful attention to detail, whilst also considering the big picture and wider implications.o Expectation to provide thought leadership to the ongoing development and enhancement of stress testing capabilitiesWhat we re looking for:Essential:o Excellent people management skills, with the ability to broker decisions with varied teams across the banko Conscientious, disciplined and detailed where necessaryo A proactive, self-starter, who is can be relied upon to act on initiativeo Highly developed problem solving skills.
