Job Description

Warehouse Assistant IN, Chennai | Skilled Worker / Semi-Skilled Worker | Full-Time | ID: 12805Vestas is the world leader in wind technology and a driving-force in the development of the wind power industry. Vestas core business comprises the development, manufacture, sale, marketing and maintenance of Wind Turbines. Come and Join us at Vestas!Manufacturing & Global Procurement, Converters & Controls, Converter Factory Oragadam Warehouse in the brand new Vestas Factory in Oragadam with new equipment staplers, forklifts, pallet racks and vertical storage system. The factory has two warehouses one for the Nacelle and HUB production and one for the Converter production. HUB, Nacelle and the Converter (which is a vital part of the Nacelles) is produced in the new factory. Responsibilities

  • Very high level both in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost is required.
  • Unloading trucks or containers, reception of goods, incoming inspection in partnership with Quality department, storing in either pallet racks or vertical storage, pick items either in kanban system or kitset, deliver to the production line via tugger train in milk routes .
  • Be an active, motivated, loyal, disciplined and profound member of the warehouse team.
  • You are being a vital member among 14 other colleagues in the Warehouse team and make sure all the daily business is taking care of in relation to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Cost.
Qualifications
  • Highly skilled warehouse operator
  • Should Posses Forklift certificate
Competencies
  • Read, write and speak English
  • High knowledge in warehouse procedures and systems
  • Very disciplined in relation to follow the warehouse procedures
