Job Description

Internal: Process Engineers, Manufacturing engineers / technicians, Special Process experts, Sourcing, Supply chain, Tooling Engineer, Sub-System Managers and Facility & Maintenance EngineersExternal: Advance Industrialization, Center of Excellence (COE) and SuppliersOVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLEThe purpose of Methods Engineer is to manage the Serial production of the Assembly line, Resolve day to day issues of serial line, Identify and implement Safety/Ergonomics, Productivity & Quality Kaizen projects, Facility design, Assembly line Layout planning and Lead the improvement action plan to achieve Industrial QCD Targets of his/her perimeter. Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Perform EHS & Ergonomics analysis and define action plan and implement.
  2. Perform Ergonomic Risk analysis using Standard Ergo Assessments Checklist
  3. Perform and Participate in P-FMEA and QRQC s
  4. Drive Continuous Improvements and implement it for improvements in Method time, Spent time, EHS & Ergonomics
  5. Jigs & Fixtures Design, Development and Validation capabilities
  6. Manage Indirect suppliers to get the work done based on Organization needs
  7. Continuously work to reduce the Industrial costs
  8. Identify and implement innovation in Tools, Jigs & Fixtures
  9. Bring ideas to the Process Engineer or the PIM to guide product definition in order to improve the product manufacturability and achieve QCD targets.
  10. Handling ECN (Engineering change note) and change management in design.
  11. Reporting the Daily , Weekly and Mothly dashboard for Manfacturing Engineering
  12. 5S definition in Shop floor
Qualifications and Skills Education:
  1. BE/ME in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or
  2. Proficient in English Read, Write and Speak
  3. Familiar with Microsoft excel, Powerpoint and Common IT Tools
  4. Knowledge of AutoCAD and Catia
Experience:8-10 Years of experience from OEM,Tier 1 or any Auto component Manufacturing industriesBehavioral Competencies

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE
  1. Manufacturing Engineering/Process Engineering background with Minimum 6 to 8 years of Industrial experience preferably in Auto or railway industry.
  2. Experience in General Assembly process. Electrical harness assembly is preferred.
  3. Technical experience of Process Engineering, developing manufacturing work instructions, line balancing.
  4. Experience in Reading/Preparing Engineering Drawing with GD&T (Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerance)
  5. Knowledge of Jigs and Fixture Design/Manufacturing
  6. Productivity improvement and Cost saving techniques
  7. Experience in Lean Manufacturing techniques and Six Sigma tools.
  8. Experience in project management
  9. Experience in working with an ERP (such as SAP) for Bill of Materials, Routings, Configuration followup
  10. Working knowledge in Quality, EHS standards and Ergonomics
  11. Process FMEA, QRQC
  12. Time analysis (MTM, UAS,Stop watch).
