Job Description

The Clinical and Therapy development Manager is the expert for developing the therapy and creating awareness for Abbott s device-based Mitraclip and other transcatheter technologies.In this exciting and rewarding role based at our Delhi/ Chennai office, you would be leading Abbott s leading technology in transcatheter in India and the subcontinent. You would Support and enable collaboration and education between stakeholders like referring physicians, implanting centers, their cardiologists both interventional cardiologists and electrophysiologists- and patient groups.The main aspects of this role include:

  • Responsible for clinical assistance during Mitraclip case in the current situation and Triclip in the future.
  • Assisting in clinical selling of the therapy and products to customers. Responsible for driving the right clinical message to customers directly and through
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to conduct targeted market development in India & Sub-continent.
  • Lead organization and delivery of key symposia by supporting discussions with customers to define agenda topics, select appropriate speakers/chairs, create required materials for events.
  • Develop Key Opinion Leaders within this segment to create a market for the new therapies which will be launched
  • Develop clinical, product, and/or economic-based marketing collateral and/or training and education materials for dissemination. Teaches on market development tool utilization and monitors field team application according to profile and specialization.
  • Conduct scientific literature reviews in support of market development and market messaging
  • Identify high potential international/national referral community meetings to target for market development and collaborates with the sales management team to put forward the case for investment (program contributions/symposiums / workshops)
To succeed in your new position, you will ideally possess:
  • Graduate/postgraduate in any discipline from a reputed institute/ university.
  • 8-10 years of clinical experience with 3-4 years of transcatheter experience
  • Experience in the Medical Device industry
  • Willingness to accept challenging assignments and engage in relevant developmental activities, in a rapidly adapting environment
  • Experience in working and leading cross-functional environments
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and familiarity with web-based applications.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Good command of English, Proficient interpersonal communication skill
  • Influencing and Communication skills
  • Product knowledge orientation, Clinical aptitude
Preferred skills and experience
  • Experience in TAVI product line
  • Demonstrated ability to identify issues and implement solutions, including identifying and involving the appropriate decision-makers
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and adapt to shifting priorities and competing demands, and maintain composure in a difficult circumstance
