Are you ready to lead in this new era of technology and solve some of the world s most challenging problems If so, lets talk.Your Role and Responsibilities The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Cloud and Automation Consultant to join us as in Bangalore/Mumbai/Delhi. In this role, you will passionately guide the adoption of Red Hat s solutions in our key enterprise accounts. You ll win the trust and confidence of the customer engineering, development, and operations teams by aligning their requirements and use cases with the functional capabilities of our solutions. We ll need you to have a thorough working knowledge and direct experience with cloud architectures and their supporting infrastructures and scripting languages, including Python, Ruby, and Puppet. As a Cloud and automation Consultant, you will also play an important part in bringing together cross-functional teams from Red Hat s product, Product Engineering, Support, Professional Services, and Sales teams to meet the needs of our most demanding customers. Responsibilities
• This role requires hands-on experience to conduct solution discovery/Assessment/Design/Implement and deliver customer requirements. People need to have experience to run discovery sessions on customer Cloud landscape, arrive at design and clearly recommend Cloud migration strategy with Automation.
• Serve as a subject matter expert at the client site, addressing the technical, developmental, or strategic IT needs
• Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of complex open source solutions
• Adapt to changing customer requirements
• Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions in a professional manner
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Total 10 to 12 Years with at least 8 years experience in modernizing platform and building cloud stack. 2 to 3 years of experience in Automating, deploying and managing hybrid cloud.
• 4+ years of experience in a consulting delivery role; 1+ year(s) focused on cloud environments and their supporting infrastructures
Required Skills
• Excellent technical skills in designing Linux solutions, system configuration, and system administration
• Advanced communication and interpersonal skills to communicate value, progress, and metrics of key projects to a diverse audience of stakeholders
• Ability to constantly learn about new technologies and apply those concepts to customer needs
• Assess, design, and implement Red Hat s core service offerings (Hybrid Cloud), including OpenStack, OpenShift by Red Hat or ROSA or ARO.
• Design complex solutions (e.g. system management, cluster and storage, virtualization, and Red Hat Directory Server)
• Any experience with Ansible for automation is a must.
• Experience with enterprise-wide deployments and Automation.
• Advanced knowledge of OpenShift by Red Hat and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) technology
• Serve as a subject matter expert at the client site, addressing the technical, developmental, or strategic IT needs including Onpremise and on Cloud solutions.
• Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of complex open source solutions
• Extensive knowledge of Linux kernel internals, including performance tuning experience, troubleshooting, bug fix updates, and core builds
• Experience in implementing DevSecOps CI/CD Pipelines, multi-cloud automation, network automation, security automation with proven skills for writing ansible playbooks/role for various use cases following its best practices. (Knowledge of Jinja2 or any other templating language is plus)
• Advanced knowledge of system management, clustering and storage management, virtualization, and directory server
• Demonstrated experience communicating value, progress, and metrics of key projects to required stakeholders and diverse audiences
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer management skills
• Technical experience with virtualization and cloud technologies like Red Hat OpenStack Open Shift Platform, Red Hat Virtualization, VMWare vSphere, etc.
• Expert-level of knowledge in either cloud networking (SDN) or storage (object and block) disciplines and DevOps models and technologies
• Comfortable working with highly distributed teams, including interaction with the open source communities via email and IRC
• Willingness to work as part of a geographically distributed team while demonstrating flexibility and initiative
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise Required Certifications:
• Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation, Azure certified on Desired State Configuration, Terraform Certified enginner certifications are plus
• Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
