Job Description

Performs assignments that will develop professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.

Exercises limited but increasing judgment in performing assigned tasks. Using prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of

an experienced engineer.

Receives technical and administrative supervision from an Engineering Supervisor.

  1. Supervision Exercised May provide technical direction as appropriate to drafters, technicians and GETs and Junior Engineers who perform specific design support assignments.
  2. Contacts

Maintains contact with the immediate work group or discipline and interfaces with other disciplines as specifically directed.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  1. Preparation of Cause and Effect Diagram, Interlock List and Complex Loop Narrative.
  2. Ability to interpret LOPA Report and perform SIL Verification and SIL Calculations
  3. Preparation of Instrument Installation Details Bulk Material Take off and assist designers in Modelling of instruments and junction boxes
  4. Preparation of Motor Coordination Table and perform the role of SPI administrator on the project.
  5. Prepration of Loop and Wiring Diagram in SPI.
  6. Assignment of IID in SPI and development of Instrument Bulk MTO.
  7. Preparation of Instrumentation Design Criteria and Instrument Specifications for Mechanical Packages
  8. Preparation of Data Sheet, Spec and MR and Technical Bid Evaluation of General, On Off, Severe Service Control Valve and Filed Instruments.
  9. Support in development of ICSS Design (BPCS, SIS and FG) using Universal/Charms I/Os.
  10. Vendor Print Review of Mechanical Packages like Compressor, API Pumps, Waste Heat Recovery Unit, Fired Heaters, Water Treatment Packages.
  11. Support in development of OGC FEED Estimates.
  1. Basic technical knowledge of Codes and Standards of Oil and Gas Industry and PIP Specs.
  2. Basic knowledge of SIL Calculation Software like exSILentia
  3. Design experience and basic knowledge of Flow Element Sizing, Thermowell Wake Frequency Calculation.
  4. Basic knowledge of Control Valve Sizing and selection software.
  5. Fully proficient in SPI (Data Sheet, Index, Browser, Loop and Wiring Modules), Flowell, Fisher FirstVue.
  6. Conversant with SPR to review S3D Model.
  7. Determination of Engineering Job Hours based on Instrumentation Deliverables.
  1. 4 year B.Tech degree in Instrumentation and Control or Electronics and Communication Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  2. 7-10 years of industry experience with at least 5-8 years relevant experience in Oil Gas Industry executing FEED and EPC Projects.
