Job Description

The Deputy Manager - Manufacturing must have thorough knowledge on Heat Treatment Processes viz. carburizing, carbo-nitrating and martempering etc and ENDO gas generator operation and trouble shooting skills.Hands on experience of Heat Treatment furnaces for batch type and continuous furnaces. He will be capable for design and develop new process, die set and equipment required for manufacturing new products in line with BorgWarner standards and customer timelines. Develop New facility and new equipment to meet increase in existing customer demand. Work with global team in developing new process and technology for next generation products.Improve existing process to global standards in terms of productivity, Scrap/PPM, Safety thro global bench marking.

Thorough Knowledge on Heat Treatment Processes Like carburizing, carbo-nitrating and Martempering etc.
Thorough knowledge on ENDO gas generator operation and troubleshooting is mandatory.
Good experience on handling of Heat Treatments furnaces; batch type and continuous furnaces. Additional knowledge on installation and troubleshooting is preferred.
Hands on experience on Microstructure analysis, metallurgical inspection and other metallurgical testing is a must.
Responsible for effective operation & monitoring of furnaces, with rated output.
Support maintenance activities in heat treatment and polishing machines.
Analyze and control Heat Treatment processes at both In-house and supplier end.
Hands on knowledge on CQI-9 requirements and able to conduct audit at in-house and supplier end.
Knowledge on material / metallurgical analysis of failed parts (Failure Analysis) is a must.
Establishing and validating De burring & polishing process for various chain parts.
Achieving the required surface finish of parts after De burring and polishing.
Knowledge on Bench Mark of best practices in heat treatment and polishing related activities from other Plants.
Process planning of new equipment and facilities required to meet LRP volumes and increased customer demands.
Development new equipment as per BorgWarner standards , install, conduct runoff trials, monitor results and handover.
Develop new technology process based on Morse products strategy with global support.
Responsible for Improving current process to global standards in terms of productivity, Scrap/PPM, Safety, Poka yoke controls ,Process capability and Raw material yield thro bench marking.
