Job Description

    Designation: Deputy Project Manager - Performance & Specialty MaterialsTo lead the PSM project team till timely delivery, Efficient and Effective management of assigned set of projects throughout life cycle.To ensure organizational expectations, in alignment with internal and external stakeholders.Key Responsibilities: Ensure Project Delivery & related end to end management based on Synpro framework. Prepare the project plan, ensure alignment within Syngene teams and with customer before kick off, Resource and material planning followed by SAP project creation. Single point of contact for project communication with Customer. Conduct periodic team meeting for technical and non-technical aspects of Project. Execute and Track the project using progressive elaboration techniques, Keep tab on timely task completions by team members. Keep proactive vigilance for potential variance & implement corrective actions. Responsible for Stakeholder Management and ensure effective periodic communication across Syngene Project Environment. Defining Risk assessment and Mitigation plans in consultation with team. Ensure timely update about project outcomes in SAP. After completion of all milestones, conclude the project closure with appropriate archival of documents and lessons learnt. Continual improvement in Project Processes. Ensuring safety of self, teams and lab/plant by adhering to safety protocols and following environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace Ensuring that there are no safety non-compliances in areas that the team operates in Ensuring adherence to all Syngene policies related to data integrity by all members of the team including self Ensuring all assigned mandatory trainings related to data integrity, health, and safety measures are completed on time by all members of the team including self Reporting incidents (or near-misses) and learnings from those incidents to avoid recurrence Compliance to Syngene s quality standards at all times and ensuring the same by the team members Follow environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace ensuring individual and lab/plant safety Ensure environment, health, and safety (EHS) measures are imparted via training and adhered within the teamEducational Qualification: Graduate/Masters in Chemical Engineering or any Chemistry related fieldSynpro Academy Certification (Preferred)Technical/functional Skills: Knowledge of operations, process mapping and continuous improvement methodologies will be a plus Proficient in project management knowledge areas Proficient in project management software (MS Project or equivalent) Comfortable with data analysis using MS Excel Comfortable with presentations using MS PowerPoint Comfortable with collaboration platforms such as MS Teams Good knowledge of Contract Research Organization/ Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO)/Pharma/Biotech industry environmentExperience: Overall 11 to 14 years of industry experience out of which 5 to 7 years of relevant Project Management experience requiredBehavioral Skills: Result oriented Collaboration Customer Centricity Problem Solving Strategic Thinking Multitasking Assertive CommunicationEqual Opportunity Employer: It is the policy of Syngene to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic information, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable legislation or local law.
