Job Description

  • The work youll be doing as a developer for VCP FarEdge Kubernetes Infrastructure supporting development of deployment automation pipelines and other tooling for the infrastructure.You will be supporting a highly reliable infrastructure running critical network functions. You will be responsible for solving issues that are new and unique, which will provide the opportunity to innovate. This position involves the development of software for Verizon s Service Provisioning Platforms.
  • Serving as developer for VCP Far Edge Kubernetes Cloud Infrastructure Deployment Automation pipeline.
  • Interfacing with engineering and operations team to develop a collaborative process for handoff ensuring supportability and on time delivery.
  • Building DevOps tools for CI/CD based deployment of infrastructure.
  • Involving in DevOps lifecycle.This position involves the development of software for Verizon s Service Provisioning Platforms.
What we re looking for.Ability to work with other engineering teams and complex tasks. You ll need to have:
  • Bachelors degree or four more years of work experience in Telecommunications background.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge in Software Development Lifecycle and CI/CD Best Practices.
  • Experience in Git, Jira for Agile Sprint based Software development.
  • Experience with Go/ Python, Shell scripting, YAML, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Linux.
  • Two or more years of experience in Kubernetes and cloud based technologies open stack.
Even better to have:
  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to work with other engineering teams and ability to work independently on complex tasks
  • Experience with open source explorations/contributions.
