Job Description

    AVP-IT Support/Infrastructure1. JOB PURPOSE :Plan, prepare and establish, companys technological vision and strategies, ensure that the technological resources are aligned with the companys business needs. Direct the executive team on the best processes, organizational policies, guidelines and assigned budgets.Plan and Develop IT services acquisition, procurement, and outsourcing processes. Identify providers to establish cost effective, and efficient, ecosystem for IT services, hardware, softwares, human resources to accomplish company needs.2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :1. IT service Operations and Infrastructure managementa. Develop and establish IT service strategy in sync with business objectives. Assess and forecast customer demand.b. Identify costs and opportunities associated with services. Which includes Accounting, Budgeting and Chargingc. Implement process to ensure that services such as fulfilling user requests, resolving service failures, fixing problems, and carrying out routine operational tasks are performed efficiently and effectively.d. Prepare and maintain services catalogue for customers and users.e. Prepare and managing service level agreements between customers and the service providers.f. Control systems to attain availability of IT Infrastructure and IT service.g. Control systems to attain appropriate capacity for IT Infrastructure and IT services.h. Maintain the minimum agreed-upon levels of service. prepare and implement, Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Prepare IT service continuity plan in sync with overall Business Continuity Plan.i. Maintain and protect five basic qualities of information assets: Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability, Authenticity and Nonrepudiationj. Implement and maintain process to handles supplier evaluation, contract negotiations, performance reviews, renewals, and terminations.k. Change Management - control the lifecycle of all the changes with minimum disruption to IT services.l. Service Asset and Configuration Management - maintain information about configuration items required to deliver an IT service, including their relationships.m. Establish, Implement, and Improve process and policies for fulfilling user requests, resolving service failures, fixing problems and carrying out routine operational tasks.n. Incident Management - establish system to implement process to return the IT service to users as quickly as possible.o. Request Fulfilment - establish system to fulfil service requests, which in most cases are minor changesp. Problem Management - establish process to manage the lifecycle of all problems, preventing incidents from happening and minimizing the impact of incidents that cannot be prevented. Proactive Problem Management analyses incident records and uses data collected by other IT Service Management processes to identify trends or significant problemsq. IT Operations Management- monitor and control the IT services and their underlying infrastructure, executing day-to-day routine tasks related to the operation of infrastructure components and applications. This includes job scheduling, backing up and restoring, print and output management, and routine maintenance.r. Service Desk- develop, implement and maintain the point of contact between users and the IT team to manages incidents and service requests.s. Technical Management - Implement technical expertise and support for the management of the IT infrastructure.2. Cloud System Security- Establish system for user authorization and authentication to provide efficient user management.- Implementation and monitoring of CloudWatch, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, WAF security in system.- Analyze and enforce multiple layers of defense to help protect from external and internal threats. Compute resources include EC2 instances, AWS Lambda functions, database services, IoT devices, encryption of EC2 volumes, S3 buckets, RDS instances, manage keys, key rotation etc.- Implement and Monitor AWS Trust Adviser product to verify security and fault tolerance for Cloud system.3) Cloud Datacenter Performance Efficiency- Identify and implement advanced technologies, increase use of server less systems, consume it as a service. For example, NoSQL databases and Athena services.- Set network for latency, throughput requirements in between servers, functions, and databases.- Implement and maintain ELK and CloudWatch products for monitoring of system resources.- Assess and improve Cloud Platform Cost6. Educational Qualificationsa) Qualifications- Minimum Qualification required: Engineering Graduate/ Postgraduate.- Qualifications preferred: Masters degree in computer science or related field.b) Work Experience- 16+ years working in a technological role.- 5 to 8 years managerial experience.- Exceptional team management skills.- Direct and establish IT-related projects.- Supervise the networks and computer systems in the company to ensure optimal performance.- Troubleshoot data-related issues and establish regular maintenance.- Lead the strategy for technology platforms, partnerships, and external relationships- Work closely with Business Development and Operations to define and deliver new products and enhancements- Knowledge of IT standards, data protection operations, legislation (e.g. ITIL, ISO27001, GDPR)- Hands-on experience in configuring and managing Amazon Web Services based technology platforms and capabilities including, but not limited to, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Elastic Cloud Computing instances, Elastic Block Storage, Simple Storage Service, Elastic Load Balancing, Virtual Private Cloud, Security Groups, Cloud Formations, CloudTrail, Athena, Redshift, Simple email service, Pinpoint, API gateway, Lambda and other AWS services.- Plan, Design, Deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS- Identify appropriate use of AWS operational best practices- Working knowledge of Multi-tier architectures: load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers and databases.- Experience with various virtualization technologies and multi-tenant, private and hybrid cloud environments.- Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards, including firewalls, Active Directory, etc.- Strong system administration (Linux/Unix or Windows)- Strong knowledge of network administration.- Working knowledge of On-premise and Cloud based databases, like RDSThis job opening was posted long time back.
