Job Description

    Responsibilities 1. Carry out design works and preparation of reports under the guidance of Senior/Principal engineer to a high technical level with minimum supervision from seniors in accordance with Eurocodes and British standards; 2. Guide and supervise the work of junior team members as and when required; 3. Familiar with and able to interrogate a wide range of geotechnical software for the design of civil engineering projects including deep and shallow foundations (including pile group analysis), embedded and gravity retaining walls, earthworks/slope stability and reinforced earthworks; 4. Proficiency with the use of geotechnical software for the management, review and presentation of ground investigation and geotechnical data using current best practices; 5. Contribute to the planning of effective geotechnical resources; 6. Be self-motivated and take on project work with a clear focus on timeliness, quality and technical excellence; 7. Be responsible for planning own work and carrying out self-checks; 8. Liaise with the WSP UK internal clients and Local CRC Head to ensure that project requirements are fully understood and essential elements of the role are satisfactorily completed to time and fee; 9. Follow accepted methods and legislation (including CDM) and operate in accordance with WSPs corporate health & safety, environment and quality (SHEQ) standards; 10. Participate in team meetings, disseminate information within the team, and communicate with other teams in WSP; 11. Demonstrate an awareness of project risk issues, flagging potential problems to team leader; and 12. Prepare elemental work for project budget costing as delegated by the senior team member, within agreed deadlines and standards.Only interested applicants should send their resume to: hidden_email
