The Java Business Rules Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and authoring Drools rules engines for the clients specific insurance business line. The position will work on task level support and provide technical advisory service to support the revenue cycle billing operations function. The position duties include rule base architecture/design, coding, and mentoring more junior team members. Previous Drools experience, especially in a cloud environment, is highly desirable.RESPONSIBILITIES: - Designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance and contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle- Expected to conduct system analysis and development, with reasonable support from team members and technical team lead, to keep systems current with changing technologies.- Maintain status report on the progress of projects and provide management with the report as and when requested.- Maintain full, accurate and timely updates on the JIRA issue tracking system for every development or support task.- Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for internal and external clients as per the protocol of the company.- Support existing systems and work to resolve issues as they arise in a manner that minimizes system outages. - Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools.- Must be able to work well in a cross-functional environment and target candidate will be a self-starter, quick learner and great team player.QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in Java Enterprise Edition - 2+ years of working experience in Jboss Business Rule Engine (DROOLS)/BRMS - 2+ years experience defining and documenting business and technical requirements, developing and testing software (healthcare/insurance sector preferred) - Demonstrable expertise in JAVA EE, Object Oriented Design (OOD) - Must have expertise in Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2016.,
