Job Description

Roles and ResponsibilitiesDesignation: Production Manager Team Size: 300 WorkforceReports to: DirectorIndustry: Medical Devices Manufacturing Orthopedic ImplantsPlace of Posting: Delhi NCR, Kundli, Sonepat 2 KM from Singhu Delhi BorderJob Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and monitor daily, weekly and monthly machine planning including about 300 workforce.
  • Plan optimal utilization of all the section of manufacturing comprising of automatic, semi-automatic and manual sections such as CNC, VMC, Sliding Head, Mazak, Gun-drill, Injection Molding, Lathe, Milling etc.
  • Ensure achievement of daily Machine wise production targets.
  • Overall responsibility for team s punctuality, attendance and leave planning.
  • Ensure Preventive & Productive maintenance of manufacturing machineries.
  • Review and monitor production reports, trend analysis, rejection analysis, variance analysis and plan CAPA.
  • Maintain 5S and Kaizen in the work area.
  • Work on SAP/ ERP.
  • Increase production, productivity, assets capacity and flexibility by minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
  • Ensure 100 % delivery commitment for NPD and productionize as per delivery timelines.
  • Variance analysis of all manufacturing attributes and ensure CAPA execution in time.
  • Policy deployment in term of PQCDSM (Production, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, Morale) and impart training to fellow managers.
  • Enhance overall production utilization and ensure improvement as planned.
  • Hands-on to work in SAP environment.
  • Delegate work schedule and lead all employee performance with effective follow-ups.
  • Ensure C2C (Concept to Customer) projects accomplishment.
  • Build trust and rapport with workgroups and optimally utilize their skills.
  • Collect and analyse data to control wastage and overtime.
  • Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
  • Address individual/ team grievances and administer production growth.
  • Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts.

  • BE/ B. Tech Mechanical Engineering with 12+ year experience as a Production Manager in Automobile/ Medical Device Industry.
  • Sound understanding of CNC, VMC, Programming, Sliding Head, Injection Molding, Lathe machine etc.
  • Proven managerial experience with excellent attention to detail.
  • Sound knowledge of ISO Standards, SAP, budgeting, strategic resource planning and allocation.
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise.
  • Sound knowledge of safety, Quality, Production, Productivity and Inventory control.
  • Ability to create accountability and lead by example.
  • Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills.
