Job Description

Collect and document input from Red Hat OpenShift customers, partners, Kubernetes, and Linux container community members and other stakeholders to understand customer needs; develop solutions strategy, roadmap, and go-to-market plans for our joint solutions
Research competitive solutions, both commercial and do-it-yourself alternatives, documenting their relative strengths and weakness to develop competitive positioning and collect input for new releases
Prioritize and document requirements, epics, and user stories for new releases of our joint solutions
Guide major enhancements of our offerings by working cross-functionally with core teams across our Engineering team and the upstream open source community
Work with the Red Hat OpenShift product team to manage releases and updates of our offerings and bring new Red Hat OpenShift-based solutions to market
Work with our Sales teams to respond to customer inquiries, deliver customer presentations and demos, and support the overall sales process
Support sales and marketing activities, including creating presentations, blogs, demos, and other technical collateral for our offerings
Review and provide feedback on the documentation for our offerings

Required skills

5+ years of enterprise software industry experience in product management, technical marketing, or a similar technical product or customer-facing role
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to collaborate purposefully across broad stakeholders to secure diverse opinions and comprehensive feedback in solving complex problems
Solid understanding of the telco industry and experience working with key service providers, and network equipment providers (NEPs), and independent software vendors (ISVs) in this space
Experience with network functions virtualization (NFV), software-defined networking (SDN), distributed systems, network function orchestration, or resource management solutions
Familiarity with vRAN and RAN architectures for 4G or 5G telecommunications networks
Experience with the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) ecosystem of open source solutions
Linux skills and direct experience with Linux container technologies and Kubernetes
Ability to perform light scripting
Bachelors or graduate degree, preferably in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline

The following are considered a plus:

Previous community involvement with Kubernetes, KubeVirt, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, oVirt, Linux, or other open source projects
Experience working at a service provider or NEP or other network operations related role
Familiarity or experience with popular application runtimes and application frameworks
Experience with open source technologies and business models
Prior experience with the agile development process
Familiarity with Jira or similar agile and issue tracking tools
