Roles and ResponsibilitiesExperienceWe expect you to have ~5 years of relevant experience, be fast, efficient and structured andhave a well regarded portfolio of previous work. We would expect you to be able to workautonomously, take a concept and come up with sensible ideas on how to accomplish it,produce several prototypes of the same idea for you and the rest of the team to pick theappropriate solution from.The intermediate QA roleAs an intermediate QA, we expect your to work closely with the senior QA, provide qualityassurance of the products and do the release validation and think about what the rightthings to do are and generally ensure that the products are released with expected highquality by: Define and follow up with team the quality goals and project quality metrics Implement a robust automated framework for the system Define and monitor the system capacity/performance Own the release process, by ensuring high quality of every release Identify and write test scenarios for functional/integration tests Ensure the usage of best practices related to QA Propose tools and frameworks available in the market to increase team efficiency Work closely with Product Owner in defined the acceptance criteria for the stories Understand the real world systems (the Machine ) and match the behavior of theMachine with what the development team is trying to achieve (see details furtherdown).Technical expertise and experienceWe would expect you to have broad and deep knowledge within the following spheres: Very good expertise in software testing applications: QA concepts QA processes and tools (QC, Jira, etc) Basic understanding of software architectures and concepts Technical background (SQL/databases, Test Scripts, Bash) Experience in QA Performance (ex: Loadrunner, JMetter) English proficiencyOptionally (very good to have): Basic Engineering knowledge Experience in QA Automation (ex: Selenium, JUNIT, FitNesse, Katalon Studio, etc)Tasks at handprocesses knowledge A detailed understanding of how the waste and laundry collection system works i.e.the sequences of operation of fans, valves, compactors, containers e.t.c. How the material is transportation in the pipes, air speed, pressure etc. The sensors, how they work, what signals they put out The actuators, how they work and how they are engaged The microprocessor-based control cards functions and capabilitiesMaintenance work within the current products Incorporating new products in the control system Together with the mechanical engineers define the operation of the product inthe plant e.g. define message sequencing diagrams and I/O ports mapping. Together with the electricians conduct the steelware test. Write and conduct tests Conduct the product releasesTroubleshoot functionality in new installs and old plants Operate the GUI Read and understand the configurations and the property files Investigate issues related to malfunctioning by analyzing logs and through simulator Understand system behavior, create defects and validate them when fixed Develop new tools to facilitate troubleshooting Regression testsNew or re-engineered code Implement a robust automated framework for the system Develop test-cases for the new or improved functionality in the current code Write test cases and implement automated tests Define system capacity and monitor it Implement UI automated tests for the new Graphical User Interface,
