Job Description

    Quality Head - D2C Personal Care BrandOur Client is a D2C Personal Care brand based out in Gurgaon is looking to hire a Quality Head.A. Job Objective - To be accountable for implementation Quality strategies (Vendor Management, Incoming Inspections and Quality control, Timely Highlighted issue to vendor or CM)- Legal mandate approvals for product labels per LMC and cosmetic guidelines.- First time right process for product & approvals. B. Primary responsibilities Strategic and planning - Process institutionalization-conduct verification audits & visits to identify gaps (NCs) in compliance to QMS and follow up on closure reports in order to ensure compliance and process implementation.- Process improvement: Point of contact for issue resolution, for escalation of all quality related issues in order to ensure process risks are continuously mitigated and improved.- Implement Quality Management system at contract manufacturer.- Review & approval of specifications for the products or process.- Product AQL criteria and approvals for commercialization defect analysis/ Batch release analysis.- Approval of defect classification of product and improvement plan for every CM/vendor/importer and product.- First time right process for product & approvals.- Establish protocols for process and Packaging SOP & Protocol, batch records, analytical records & Manuals- Establish Guidelines for Raw material / packaging/ Intermediate /Finished material testing and deviation.- Development of Finish specs and inspection report for products for clearance.- Product deviation approval and impact of deviation on product & business.- Quality excellence of imported products through protocol and checklists.- Standardization & upgradation of RTO process for improvement.- Standardization and cross pollination of process instruction & best quality procedures across the manufacturing units.- Management of change controls of products & process for approvals.- To coordinate with various functions such as contract manufacturers, R&D & supply chain as per requirement.- Analysing & review of quality related issues with R&D, technical, SCM & production team.- Handling & evaluation of all customer complaints. Tracking & monitoring of implementation & effectiveness of counter measures. Tracking of RCA/ CAPA for any failure.- PM Supplier process audits & improvements. Ensuring quality of product related supplier parts & tracking of supplier related queries.- Supplier questionnaire, evaluation and approval process.- Vendor audit and new vendor approvals for Contract manufacturer and PM suppliers. Functional - NPD process/procedure implementation, review and approvals.- Tech transfer protocol implementation and approval, close working with product team.- NPD/EPD product samples, first sample approval and storage of FG for future ref.- QMS-development of procedure, protocols and implementation.- QMS record tracking for legal, QA, Tech transfer, incoming spec, FG specs and FGIR.- Training to WH & Contract manufacturer team for SOPs.- Enabling cross pollination of best practices throughout the CMs and vendors.- Quality excellence of imported products through protocol and checklists.- Preparation and assurance of standard quality excellence SOPs for CMs and vendors.- Adherence to quality processes & systems.- Driving execution of activities for reduction of customer complaints.- NPS score improvement plan and control.- Quality audits, closure and follow-ups for CAPA.- Customer complaint handling, RCA/ CAPA and action plan.- Develops quality assurance plans by conducting risk assessments; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures; monitoring inventories.- Tracking of RTOs data for products, evaluation and control measures as improvement.- Visits to PM supplier for quality issues, audit and improvement plan People development - Take overall responsibility for people development initiatives and building up in- house capabilities for the employees in the department- Drive a performance driven culture in the team by timely monitoring, review of performance parameters and feedback to the team members- Contribute towards development of talent for the department by providing subordinates with adequate exposure and growth opportunities to enable readiness for higher roles- Actively participate in HR initiatives to drive overall employee engagement and motivation- Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR. C. Key Result Areas - Product Quality improvement at CM/Warehouse- Reduction of error during the kiting operation- Tracking RTO Data as control measure as improvement- Reduction of Customer complain by developing risk assessment plan D. Key Interfaces Internal Interfaces - Demand planning Team (Inputs for Plan, Demand)- Customer delight Inputs- Quality & Regulatory Affairs (Incoming Material Quality Checks) External Interfaces - CM Partners Suppliers E. Educational and Experience Requirements Minimum Requirement & Desired : - MSc/B.Pharma- Advanced Excel- Strong communication skills Desired : Degree in MBA from Tier 1 or 2 institute is desirable Experience : 8-14 years of experience in Quality Desired : - Experience of leading Quality function in a startup/fast changing environment will be an added bonus- Candidate should have business mindset and strong problem solving skills.,
