Job Description

Develop and deploy platforms and infrastructure in both proof-of-concept and enterprise-grade forms
Work with data engineers and their workloads in Python to optimize and troubleshoot issues
Develop data pipelines in support of our Data Science team
Deploy and manage cloud and Kubernetes platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Red Hat OpenShift
Partner with the Operations team in Tier 3 support questions
Use your knowledge of scripting in Python or Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform in the maintenance and definition of infrastructure
Partner with extract, transform, and load (ETL) developers to define features and enhancements
Coordinate with the Operational Support team on development tasks

Required skills

4+ years of demonstrated cloud or on-premise infrastructure experience
1+ year(s) of demonstrated Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift experience
Advanced experience with Python for the purpose of development of data pipelines and scripting automation tasks
Experience working with cloud data warehouse tools like AWS Redshift, Snowflake, etc.
Ability to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents
Ability to perform problem analysis, resolution, and documentation
Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

The following are considered a plus:

Demonstrated understanding of the difference between analytical and operational reporting
Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field
Experience working with AWS Glue and AWS Lambda
