a) Simulate and analyze the implication of vehicle or engine specification changes on FE, Performance (acceleration, gradeability & max speed) and emissions for deciding.b) Publish FE & performance simulation reports and participate in reviews with vehicle team, agregates and Planning in FI (Functional Image) target setting for performance feel & drivability.c) Conduct detailed benchmarking of competitor vehicles with regards to FE & performance.d) Evaluate prototype at each stage of vehicle development and analyze the causes for deviations between predicted performance and tested performance.e) Study and evaluate CO2 reduction technolgies for possible implementation in M&M portfoliof) Evaluate and implement new methods of powertrain simulation & analysis as part of capability buildingg) Ability to perform EV simulations for Performance, Range, Max Speed , Gradability in any of the 1D simulation tool like Matlab/Simulink, AVL Cruise or GT Suiteh) Battery SOC estimation, battery thermal behaviour modeling, EV component sizing for SUV preferredFunctional Requirements1) Sound knowledge of automotive powertrain & vehicle performance/dynamics 2) Hands on experience in powertrain,chassis dyno testing for exhaust emission measurements preferred. 3) Good knowledge of data analysis fundamentals & hands on exprerience with AVL cruise,matlab/Simulink or GT Suite 4) Knowledge of Data acquisiontion instrumentation & softwares like INCA, AVL Drive V box etc preffered. 5) Expertise in vehicle driving and performance evaluation (On road fuel economy, driveability, coast down etc.) 6) Good knowledge of Electric motors, types of batteries & electrochemistry, Power electronics, electric vehicle architecture, battery management system, DC/DC converter.Experience2 - 4 YearsIndustry PreferredAutomobile, Tier 1 suppliersQualificationsB.E/B.
