Job Description

*What will your essential responsibilities include Understanding the end to end flow of data from the Insurance Underwriting Systems through to the General Ledger and Financial Statements for Insurance & Ceded Business Understanding Insurance Underwriting System and Financial ERPs to prepare reconciliations between multiple systems, mainly: AXA XL Legacy Systems SAP Financials Oracle FAH / PeopleSoft Understanding Cash Suspense and Cash allocation process and associated reconciliations Financial Analysis & Reconciliations for insurance and Ceded business, including Technical Payables and Receivables Inter-Company Internal/External Quota share agreements Manual Adjustments & Analysis Understand and prepare data to support finance journals to fix any data / reconciliations issues Post manual adjustments Develop as a Finance Data expert to provide extended support to various global stakeholders for any adhoc requests / projects Support Conversion / Integration activities for Insurance business Perform Finance impact assessment and work with different teams for data clean-up projects, *We re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: CA with 2 yrs/ Masters in Finance/MBA with 4 yrs Global Insurance company Accounting & Analytical Skills, Expert in reconciliation of financial accounts Ability to extract, analyze and interpret large & complex data from multiple systems / tools Some project management experience preferredKnowledge of Insurance / Reinsurance technical accounting preferably obtained through experience at an insurance company Ability to communicate effectively with Financial Teams across different countries, Data Teams, and various IT/technical teams Be an independent worker / Minimal oversight in day to day activities Possess Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, logical thinking to develop solutions Strong Excel skills including Power Pivots and Data Analysis Cubes (MS SQL is desired) Knowledge of MS Office including PowerPoint used in developing presentations
