Business AnalystPrimary ResponsibilitiesConduct full or partial DILOs (Day in Life of) and provide observations, inputs, GAP analysis with recommendations to improve the opportunities. Interact & Interface with internal teams & sometimes external clients to gain understanding of requirements / processes through conference calls, meetings and discussions for new developments / enhancements in the region or market. Integral to plan, key resource to own, liaison for deployment & implementation with support function groups to prevent or resolve issues that could impact overall business functioning. Identify opportunities / continuous improvement for tool, process optimization & standardization within the project and across the work chain. Naturally see gaps that others gloss over and identify the downstream impact of a change or new solution Prepare used cases and Functional Design Document for use by development and tech teams. Conduct UAT and product demos, training as applicable to internal/external staff. Support development, QA and production teams during various PDLC & SDLC phases. POC for facilitating L & D necessary required training during the one-time effort of the project go-live. In charge of scheduling & coordinating Operational Readiness Testing prior to go-live.Secondary ResponsibilitiesSingle point of contact for creation, updating & maintenance of SOPs / work flows etc. Ability to create clear and concise documentation (the latter becoming increasingly necessary in a lean or agile world Develop a data mindset and the analytical skills to interpret and communicate data effectively Prepare Test cases and Test plans for assigned module/components/projects/workstreams Assist in ensuring QA practices & methodology as a function smoothly while coordinating with requestor teams. Execute functional tests and evaluate results to ensure accuracy and quality of complex system changes both, pre and post-production. Ensuring defects are logged, statistically presented with example defect %age, pass fail ratio etc. and follow their closure while following bug lifecycle.Skill Set & BackgroundMinimum 6 years of experience in Travel company or Travel technologies profile. Hands on experience on reservations, ticketing tools used in the travel industry. Good understanding of functional aspects of GDS, point of sale, scripts, online booking tools, robotics, front/mid/back office systems to name some. Proven experiences in process improvement, gap analysis, process mapping. Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills Good working knowledge of Ms Office such as Excel / Power Point / Word / Visio Good Multitasking, prioritization, time management skills Ability to work independently in complex, challenging, stressful environment Facilitation & elicitation skills Soft Skills Relationship-Building Skills Self-Managing Paradoxical Relationship with AmbiguityCompetencies & Methodologies KnownBusiness Analysis & Tools usage Visual Modeling Relevant certification in Business Analysis would be a plus Introduction and work experience of Six Sigma would be a plus Hands on Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN),
