Business Analytics Role- Bijak is a B2B trade platform for the agricultural sector in India that enables traders, wholesalers and food processors to keep a ledger of their transactions, access transparent pricing, optimize logistics and improve their working capital cycles.- Bijak brings accountability and transparency in the agricultural value chain through a buyer/seller rating system thats based on real time transaction data. Users on the platform can leverage those ratings to identify and trade with reliable counterparts. Bijaks approach of enabling the existing players in the value chain underscores the companys vision to be a trusted partner of the agriculture commerce community.- Most commodity traders refer to invoice details as Bijak and that is where the app derives its name from. The app, which is highly customised for agriculture commodity traders, is available in a number of local languages and uses the same terminology thats typically used in major wholesale markets (known as mandis).- Bijak was founded in January 2019 by Nukul Upadhye, Mahesh Jakhotia, Jitender Bedwal, Daya Rai, and Nikhil Tripathi who together, have deep experience spanning in Agri-Tech, finance, consulting and SaaS firms.- Bijak is backed by well renowned global investors, who have invested across unicorns and have taken companies to IPO globally. Bijak has raised ~$14.5 MN (INR 110 Crores) across two rounds from RTP Global, Sequoia Capital, Omidyar Network, Omnivore Partners, Better Capital, AngelList, and Tempo ventures.Business Analyst - Bijak- With deep roots spread across multiple agricultural commodities and geographies, We at Bijak are currently looking for Business Analysts/Operations Analysts to be part of our Central Growth Strategy team and contribute in Operations Excellence division. - Candidates would be required to work at the CEOs office based in Gurugram post COVID. As of now you would be required to work remotely.Roles and Responsibilities :- Candidate would be directly reporting to Senior Manager(Ops Excellence) / Co-Founders- Develop data driven SOPs for their daily processes- Manage daily transactions of multiple customers with extremely high ticket size- Develop, Manage and Check multiple Google sheets / Dashboards on a daily basis to ensure things are on right track- Evaluate customer basis on multiple parameters to ensure visibility of customers on Bijak platform- Evaluate trade prospects based on customer transactions behaviour and credit limit- Work on the most important projects that need to be unlocked to enable growth and drive customer experience along with other Operations/ Execution team and guide them with data driven insights and help them in informed decision making- Collaborate across multiple teams operations team, marketing team, tech team, finance team to ensure coherence and swift execution- Responsible for defining, developing and communicating key metrics and business trends to partner and management teams- Perform key analysis, create excel / google sheet dashboards, presentations and share insights with top management.- Proactively participate in setting up targets, reviewing team performance and strategic inputs- Reconcile financial transactions on a daily basis and assist finance team over same- Identify new trade opportunities, gather market information and work closely over automation related projects of your team to reduce on person dependencies- Keep track of ground operations team performance, develop KPIs and metrics which ensures a higher accountability at their end and in turn drive growth- Assist higher management team in hiring, training and in launching new markets as and when required by performing Desk research, Primary and Secondary research and coordinating with multiple industry stakeholdersRequirements :- Degree/ Masters degree ( preferably in Management, Engineering, Science, Agriculture)- 1-3 Years of working experience at similar position- Process and Data driven approach with an ability to continuously improve upon existing process in place and keep a track over team performance- High energy, open to work for long hours, go-getter attitude and ability to fit in startup culture- Must be a self starter and should be able to lead without much support from external team- Fluency in Hindi & English is must- Need to work for 6 days a week based on business requirements- Should be able to perform multi-tasking and extreme attention to details- Expertise of working across SQL, R/Python, MS Excel, Google Sheets, Powerpoints,- Tableau/ Power BI etc. is mustBenefits :- Unique blend of learning - Operations Excellence, Supply Chain, Managing On-ground operations, Data Analytics, Finance etc.- Opportunity of working closely with well experienced leadership team having expertise across multiple domains- Contribute in leadership team of a VC funded startup from its initial stage- Industry standard compensation with multiple other perks and holiday benefitsThis job opening was posted long time back.
