About CityMall:CityMall is a community commerce platform focused on 300 million new internet users living in 400 small cities, towns and villages in India. CityMall primarily focused on Grocery, Fresh and Packaged FMCG categories. Smaller towns and cities are untouched by traditional online e-grocers with large players like Grofers & BigBasket present in Indias top 8 metropolitan cities. Key bottlenecks are lack of trust, familiarity with browsing and purchasing online, low average order values (which makes economic viability a challenge for the platforms), and lack of credit in online channels (which neighbourhood stores offer).CityMall is a highly efficient channel to serve these consumers through Community Leaders . They are the Social & Geographical connectors between end consumers and CityMall. They help us in acquiring customers, doing sales & marketing to retain wallet share as well as doing the last mile logistics in their communities making the community-led model more suitable for small towns, cities and villagesFounded by IIT Delhi and IIT Roorkee alumni with 8+ years of entrepreneurial experience, CityMall aims to create several thousands of such micro-entrepreneurs and empower them to create the go-to e-commerce platform for Bharat. CityMall is backed by top tier VCs like Elevation, Accel and Waterbridge.You will enjoy being part of CityMall if you:Are Hungry enough to get your hands dirty and hustle throughHave the First-principles approach towards any problemAre Humble to accept mistakes and work collaboratively to find answersLove being part of 0 to 1 journey in a start-upRoles and responsibilities:Assortment Planning:Own the assortment : Inventory led as well as through MarketplaceIdentify the gaps in assortment with strong consumer and market understandingWork with Key Accounts/ Buy Side/Marketplace Managers to Build local and national tie-ups with manufacturers, suppliers and brands. Work with and lead catalogue photoshoot & content creation, drive this via internal catalogue & marketing teamsPricing:Plan and execute day wise as well as monthly pricing strategy Negotiate prices with vendors, sellers and brandsDiscoverability:Plan and execute the merchandising on the platform with topline and bottomline in trackDrive Launches and necessary Category Led promotions, managing the monthly calendarsEnable discovery and improve conversions, while working on search, navigation and merchandisingCross Functional Collaborations:Collaborate in product development initiatives to build for scaleCollaborate and Program managing Supply Chain, Packaging and Warehousing EfficienciesWorking closely with Network & Growth team, understanding and solving from Community Leaders perspectiveSales Planning:Own the top line and margin for your respective categoriesSkills:Experience of 2-5 years in category managementStrong in analytics, data-driven experimentation and problem solvingGo getter and hustlerStrong bias for actions and resultsExperience Range: 2 - 5 yearsEducational Qualifications: Btech + MBA ~ IIT/IIM/Tier 1 Colleges Preferred Career Experience : Experience in Top tier High growth eCommerce companies, About CityMall:CityMall is a community commerce platform focused on 300 million new internet users living in 400 small cities, towns and villages in India.
