Job Description

About the opportunityDepartment DescriptionTechnology Infrastructure Services (TIS) is responsible for managing all infrastructure components, supporting business delivery projects and delivering TIS projects. The function is divided into six core disciplines:

  • Service - responsible for managing our Customers, Service Desk & Desktop Services, Incident & Problem Management and Application Infrastructure
  • Delivery Support - responsible for supporting the delivering of business change initiatives, which includes project, small works, environment management and other non BAU tasks
  • Technology Control responsible for protecting the Infrastructure Environment, includes Security Management, Risk and Audit Management, Change Management and Disaster Recovery
  • Architecture and Engineering responsible for Technology Architecture and engineering solutions, in line with Technology roadmaps
  • Operating Environment responsible for maintenance and fault resolution on Platforms, Storage, Messaging and Data Centre Services
  • Network & Voice responsible for maintenance and fault resolution on Network, Voice and Firewall, managing commercials and financials, and delivery of TIS projects, within technology domain
Purpose of your roleReporting to the Technical Manager - DTS, He/she will have primary responsibility for hardware and software support services, maintaining customer satisfaction through problem resolution, Service Level Agreements (SLA) The role involves exposure to other technologies like SCCM and Citrix Xen -desktop, O365 , Xen app , Patching etc and requires a solid understanding of how these interact together and the processes for delivery.You are required to work with limited supervision and should actively participate as a team member. You will work closely with other technology teams in TIS such as Voice team, VDI team, Desktop engineering team for resolving customers issues.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide resolution to hardware and application software related issues and escalations.
  • Ensure Service Level Agreements are met and maintained.
  • Demonstrates a high level of commitment to client service support to the customers.
  • Business aware and Client focused
  • Communicator excellent written and verbal skills, good attention to detail.
  • Need for flexibility towards working hours during busy periods.
  • Able to re-prioritise and organise effectively
Experience and Qualifications Required
  • IT experience, with proven technical support experience.
  • Good knowledge and experience of desktop environments and troubleshooting Windows 10, MAC OS related issues.
  • Hands on Experience on infra technologies like SCCM, Citrix Xen-desktop, Xen -App and Office 365.
  • Understanding of windows group policies
  • Must to have Nexthink experience.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting Internet, Intranet, VPN (Virtual Private network), MS Outlook and other Office utilities
  • Good knowledge of TCP/IP, WAN/LAN and voice / network architectures.
  • Knowledge of Avaya IP Telephony, Polycom Video conferencing devices and Zoom administration.
  • Graduate Calibre Industry Recognised Qualifications MCP, MCSE, and CCNA would be an advantage.
  • ITL certified (Desirable) with a knowledge of structured change management.
  • Able to work under pressure and on tight deadlines.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible team player, comfortable in a multi-national environment.
