Job Description

Education/ Experience and Skill Requirement

  • Looking for 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in similar roles focusing on strategies and economic research
  • Should have excellent academic results from leading schools preferably CFA/Masters in Economics/MBA
  • Should have good understanding of economic indicators and theories and ability to analyse data and prepare research studies
  • Candidates with hands-on experience of using different third party data source like Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Macro bond, CEIC, Factiva etc. will be preferred
  • Hand-on experience with using statistical models via Excel a must, knowledge on STATA, SPSS, and R preferred
  • Strong project management, multi-tasking skills and ability to work against tight deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • With good communication and presentation skills, a self-starter, highly motivated, ambitious and willing to work hard
Responsibilities
  • Participating in research and analysis for leading private equity firms, consulting companies and funds globally
  • Working on projects including region specific microeconomic and macroeconomic research and assisting in developing econometric models
  • Extracting and condensing information from multiple data sources both open and sourced and analysing the information to generate relevant studies, identify challenges and opportunities for investments or market-entry
  • Developing strategies and ideas to enhance opportunities for the business, and supporting global economics desk with macro analytical frameworks, economic forecasts and research ideas
  • Building economic forecasting models and perform statistical analysis of economic data using time series techniques
  • Assisting with internal and external client requests, tracking macroeconomic data releases, and drafting global economic insights for indicators
  • Managing workflow and interact directly with the client without supervision
  • Working effectively in team with a mix of long and short term deadlines with flexible working hours
